Ghost In The Prom Dress

Caution some of this story has personal description of actual death and may offend some people.

2004, it was a fine spring morning, my daughter and I had loaded the car and were heading south for about a 2 hour drive from Sydney. My daughter was representing our district in the under 15 state basket ball championships. We were both excited about the trip, cruising on the freeway with the music playing and both of us belting out word for word. Mischievously, my daughter switched on her mobile camera and was recording whilst I drove. We were enjoying the moment feeling good about the games ahead and the town that we were driving to.

I won't mention the road we were on but what I will say it was well renowned for accidents. Coming around the corner the traffic had come to a sudden halt... About one minute prior two cars had a head on collision and it wasn't a good looking scene. I told my daughter to stay in the car whilst I go to see if I could help. As I started walking toward the scene I could see about 30 feet in front of me a person laying in the middle of the road, flat on their back. I could sense this person was in a lot of trouble. The other driver was out of her car screaming hysterically, the person lying on the road was a young lady.

As I got near, the person lying on the ground was a young lady. My first thought that went through my mind was, that this is someone's daughter. About five or six people were standing around her, the general consensus was not to touch her and wait for the ambulance to arrive. Her leg was badly broken and disfigured, something was wrong with her neck and a protruding 7 inch gash just above her left eye (not bleeding) which suggested to me that maybe her heart was not beating. (I am not a qualified doctor but I've had basic training in first aid) She was lifeless although the people standing around me were advising me not to touch her. Instinct told me to at least check for a pulse.

I got down on my knees, the road a mess from metal and debris, the smell of oil and fuel mixture was strong, a stain and odor that lasted a while on my jeans that I was wearing, (not that I minded) may be a relevant point later in my story. I put my two fingers very gently to her neck searching for a pulse, but as soon as I touched her neck I could tell it was badly broken and there was no pulse.

This poor young lady was dead. She was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown out of the car on impact, death was instant. Walking back to my car all I could think about were the parents of this young lady and how devastated they would soon feel. After hugging my daughter, as traffic was been redirected, I had an overwhelming feeling of guilt. Could I have done more? It stayed on my mind until we got to basket ball, where both of us were taken away to be counseled... An ambulance officer, whom I spoke to, reassured me there was nothing else I could do and phoned his fellow colleagues who worked on her at the accident, to find out the extenuating circumstances.

What he told me was that on record she died on arrival at the hospital. Although they knew she had died at the scene. Because of her age 18, they preformed CPR as standard procedure. I guess they were hoping for a miracle... Later that night thinking about her parents I wondered if they had known the truth, as a parent myself, I would be torturing myself about how, or if she suffered. What was she thinking etc, I decided to ring the crash investigation unit and ask them to pass this message on to her parents? I was there in the first minute of the accident, your daughter did not suffer and the people that were there were dignified about your daughter's circumstances, my heart and condolences go out to you and your family.

One night about two weeks after that, I was in my room where most of the apparitions appear to me I was sitting on my chair (ironically wearing the same jeans) when suddenly I could sense someone was there. Since I lost my dad and saw him outside my room, seeing and sensing other spirits was becoming more frequent than ever.

It had been difficult and occasionally scary, to accept what was happening with these unexpected visits. I went through a few different phases in ways of dealing with them. I went from being frightened, praying to the Lord for them to leave me alone, to being quite angry on occasions throwing pillows, punches and even swearing at them to stay away. One night I woke up and there was an apparition of a man standing in my room just staring at me, I had no idea who it was. (Confronting the fear factor I guess) I decided to get up and walk straight through him, (not a good idea) the transposition left me with some chills as I crossed his path. (Brought back a memory from another story not yet written) From this night on though, my understanding and acceptances of these spirits would forever change.

I finally realized most are lost or confused souls who are just trying to connect or get a message across to a world where they once belonged. At this time about four feet in front of me I could start to see an apparition appearing in a color formation. Soon it formed a shape of a dress it was purplish blue color and looked like something one would wear on a special occasion (I don't have the best fashion sense) I later described it to my wife as a prom dress.

I couldn't see her face or body but I knew it was the girl from the car accident. I don't know why this young lady was now standing there in front of me. My physic ability just doesn't allow me to communicate the way I would like it to. I was not frightened and subsiding all my fears, explained previously I could connect a feeling of sadness about her. I presumed this child was lost and the only thing that came to mind was to ask her to go into the light. I said this couple of times and prayed that she would, I could only see the dress for about 30 seconds, it soon disappeared and so did she.

When I was 18, I was in a serious car accident. My cousin was driving and I was in the front passenger seat. I was not wearing a seatbelt. He lost control of the car and hit a solid tree head on at about 45 to 50 mph. About 10 feet away from the tree something happened which had nothing to do with my physic ability.

A white flash of light surrounded most of the car that I could see, and then everything went into slow motion. It would have only been a split second in reality, but to me it was like 5 long seconds. It gave me enough time to embrace for impact I could see the tree coming and my timing on collision had to be perfect. The collision had some tremendous force had to be perhaps (800pound psi of pressure) my arms had to sustain during impact (remember no seat belt) I should have been thrown out of the car and probably seriously hurt or killed.

I understand the physics of adrenalin, may explain part of it. But I believe this was something else. I have no doubt a higher force saved my life on that night, as I walked away with just a couple of minor injuries. I didn't even go to hospital. In respect for whoever saved my life? And that poor young lady that's death would have been prevented had she worn a seat belt.

I finish this story with this strongly intended advice. Please wear your seat belt at all times. Tell your friends my story and pass this message on. I welcome your thoughts and please excuse me if my description of the dress is not what expected, but it was how I described it to my wife at the time.

Ghost In My House?

Read the article and leave a comment.

There have been many experiences in my house, including the ones I am about to tell you, which have led me to believe that there is something else here, apart from my mother, my cat and I.

Before you continue the story, if you're not aware how my house is set out, please read my other stories.

Four nights ago, my mum got home from work at the usual time, 6 pm. She put her bag down, and walked into the hallway to go to her room. All of a sudden she stopped, and had a very odd look on her face. She asked me 'Courtney, did you spray any perfume?' I thought... What an odd question. So I replied saying no, as I hadn't. I asked her why, and she said she could smell coconut and flowers, a very feminine and beautiful scent, a scent that I couldn't smell. Once she got into her room I yelled out asking if she could still smell it, and she said no. I brushed this off, forgot about it, until the next morning.

I woke up and went into the kitchen to get some breakfast. Mum had already left for work. As I was walking back into my room, I suddenly could smell a very beautiful scent. First I was hit with the scent of coconut, then flowers, then it all mixed as one, this was while I was walking from the entrance of the hallway, to my room. It took a few minutes before I realised that it was the same smell mum had smelt the night before! I have not smelt this scent since then, and neither has mum.

On to another experience. This happened the night before last. Mum came in while I was on the computer, around 11 pm, to tell me she was going to bed. I decided I too would hop into bed, but just watch a movie. I decided to watch Riding In Cars With Boys. Now, from my bedroom, if someone is in the kitchen, I would be able to hear what they are doing, and talking, as mum and I always chat when she's in there and I'm in here! Anyway, back to the story. I got the movie out from the DVD cabinet, picked up my cat Paige and put her on my computer chair. I started the movie and noticed that Paige had fallen asleep. About 30 minutes into the movie, I heard dishes being moved and rattled in the kitchen. I checked my computer chair to see if Paige was still there, and she was, sound asleep. I thought to myself, okay it's just mum, but then I heard her cough, and stir in her bed. I got extremely creeped out but just continued watching the movie until it finished.

The next morning I told my mum what I heard, and she said that it's strange I heard that because before she went to bed, she had placed the sink out and flat for it to dry, but that morning she went into the kitchen and it was screwed up in a ball, nowhere near where she left it!

I have no explanation to what caused the sounds, as I am POSITIVE I heard mum in her bedroom.

What do you guys think it could be?

Ghost Girl Talking To Me

The story I am going to tell you was TRUE and happened about two years ago. I was in my house watching a movie and decided to get a drink of water because I started to get really thirsty. I took the drink and sat back down on the couch when a cold draft hit me and water vapour was coming out of my mouth.

I suddenly needed to go to the toilet after 20 minutes of drinking the water. As I entered the bathroom, I looked in the mirror and saw a little girl in a white robe looking at me. I turned back in terror and saw nothing there, maybe I just dreamt it. I went back to the movie and voices emerged from nowhere, saying my name over and over again. I got really annoyed so I checked it with bravery.

I looked all over the house and found nothing. I was just about to get back to the movie when the TV turned off and then the lights. I got freaked out and tried to find my way to the front door. I finally got there and went in front of my drive way. I looked up my heart beating like a drum. There was the girl again, looking at me through the window.

The lights turned on again, but I was too scared to go back inside. I called up a friend and stayed at there place for a while. I now live in an apartment and nothing has happened since. I am still haunted by that until this day.

Ghost Figures

The first encounter was when I was around 10 years old and I was sleeping. I suddenly woke up and it was midnight. I felt really hot at the time so I just took a glance around the room. That's when I saw a hooded figure on top of my bed. I was terrified so I just peeked through the blanket so I woudln't get noticed. I also felt its heavy weight like someone else was sleeping on my bed. I was living in a flat at that time and there was another bed in the room, I looked at the other bed and I noticed I had seen a ghost figure but it was glowing real bright blue and it was sleeping on it in a sideways position. I decided to move very slow in the left position so I can ignore and forget about the situation and I did a little praying so it can go away. I then fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up all sweaty and exhausted. It must of been from being too scared or something and I didn't tell anyone about it until later.

My next encounter happened in the morning around 8-9 am, this time I was living in a house and I was around 13 years old. I woke up around 7:30 am and decided to sleep in the lounge since the weather was hot and the room's temperature increased. When I was about to close my eyes I saw a real tall figure, kind of like the exact same one I saw in the first encounter, but I could nearly clearly see it.

I was pretending to sleep because I was too scared to even look at it, so I kind of peeked and then I turned my head. That's when I had enough and decided to see what it wanted so I looked back and it disappeared. I told my parents what happened they said I was dreaming or something. I have had a few ghost encounter, mostly when I was younger and I heard the house I was living in at the time was haunted. Well it seemed like it to me since I was the only one seeing it.

I'm 19 now so everything is fine, I outgrew it or just ignored the ghosts so they left me.

Ghost Cat

When I was young, I had a pet cat; His name was Olly. We had him for a few months, and I was very attached to him by then, he would sleep at the end of my bed, or even sometimes at my pillow. Then one morning, he wasn't there, I went to find him, I wasn't worried, he sometimes was gone from my room in the mornings. Mum said to come outside, and she led me to something on the side of the road. There was something bundled up on the side of the road in a blanket. I asked what it was; Dad answered Olly, he unwrapped it and showed me, the poor thing had been run over. I ran back to my room and I was crying for a while, and I spent the rest of the day in my room.

That night, I woke up to go to the bathroom, which was on the other side of the house, walking out of my room, I noticed something transparent, I went to look, and it darted behind the couch, I ran back to my room and covered myself with a blanket, to scared to go to the bathroom, I just fell asleep.

The next morning when I woke up, I went to see if there was anything behind the couch, and as I expected, there wasn't anything. Well, that day, we buried Olly in the front yard. When I went to sleep that night, I could feel something on my bed, I looked over it, and there was a small depression on the sheet; about the size of a cat.

I know that I was visited by my deceased cat, what else could it have been?

I would like to see other peoples views, I know it was real, I know it.

Ghost Aura - Residual Energy

Read the article and leave a comment.

Only once in my life, I have experienced something like these two occurrences and when I think about it, they are truly phenomenal experiences, in comparison to all my others. What transpired on this morning back in the year 1988 and later in 2006 will have some of you scratching your head with doubt, but anyway here it goes... I was at my friend's house; there were a few of us there, a typical twenty something type of night, music together with beer and a few laughs. It went late into the night, finished around 4am in the morning... I drew the short straw and found myself sleeping on the floor in the lounge room of my friend's house.

It was around 8am in the morning and I was awoken by a subtle noise... (in them days I made a habit of not opening my eyes when I woke, as it is the best way to remember our dreams when we first wake up in the morning), At that time I was having day to day premonitions, sometimes only small accounts, a couple of times life saving ones. I was laying on my left side on the floor in the lounge room, if you can picture four walls around me, if I'd open my eyes I would see the left wall and anything in that general direction.

What I could see with my eyes shut! Was what I know now as an aura, but at that time I thought it was a ghost. It was a strong glowing outline imprint of a person, perhaps one inch thick white or maybe a light blue colour; sorry can't quite remember the colour... As this ghost (what I thought at the time) moved around me, it seemed to be occupied doing something... Because I could see it moving around me with a purpose. I could also locate the noise with where I could see this ghost (aura) moving.

Now here's the incredible part! Not only could I see this ghost (what I thought) with my eyes shut; I could see it on the right hand side of the room as well. So no matter where it moved around me, I could observe its movement somehow! I was not seeing it with my eyes, there was something else within my clock work that enabled me to see what ever was moving around the room? This was not an out of body experience; I was awake with my eyes shut! There's no shame in admitting this, but I was a little scared... This went on for about a minute, I didn't want to open my eyes, and I was hoping this ghost I could see would vanish. So what I decided to do was roll over on my back hoping what ever it was, would realize it was disturbing me and move on... So as I rolled over, still with my eyes shut, I was able to still see this ghost (what I thought)... It stopped for a moment and was standing at the end of my feet looking in my direction. Part of my plan worked, but now this ghost (aura) was moving slower and softer around me, so I realized I caught its attention by moving, but it was not enough to make it leave altogether. This went on for about 3 minutes in total, then I decided (although still frightened a little) to open my eyes and face what ever it was I was seeing... When I did open my eyes, to my surprise it was not a ghost, it was my friend's wife aura, that I saw moving around, for about the previous three minutes.

But, as the clock chimed in sync with my eyes lids opening! Instantly, the aura was gone and her physical presence was in total view. She apologized for waking me up; she was just trying to tidy up the lounge room... A bit of a mess from the night before. This experience for me was a truly remarkable one and I'm interested to have your insight about this story and how I was able to see her aura move around the room in any direction with my eyes shut?

A LIVING RESIDUAL ENERGY - A few years ago, one night as I woke up for a bathroom call, I got out of my bed and walked towards the door. As I opened the door, stepping into our hallway which is about 10 meters long, the light was on so I could see quite easily in most directions. Looking to my right I saw my wife not in physical form, but in spiritual form walk out from our lounge room and walk into our kitchen area. I decided to walk towards the kitchen quickly, as I was fascinated by the possibility of making contact with her whilst she was having an out of body experience.

As I got to our kitchen I just lost sight of her, but shortly afterward I'd heard our wall in the kitchen explode with a loud bang. Something I hear a lot of especially when I've been visited by loved ones and others over the years. I felt like waking her up to validate this experience, but decided to wait to the next day to see if she could remember on her own accord... Unfortunately she couldn't remember anything, which for me was a little disappointing (Always seeking the ultimate validation) it left me to ponder what I saw.

Today reading my story ghost aura, she remembers me talking about that to her a long time ago, that's one thing at least. Now here's the question, is it possible that what I saw was her residual energy walking around our house? Because I can remember the expression on her face and her body movement, which looked to me as though she was fixated in a previous time gone by, repeating a chore.

If you remember my story, night demon or nightmare, I'd walked my house (out of my body) with an intelligent understanding of what was happening. Because she had no conscious knowledge of this experience and it was a separate one for me. Is it possible what I saw, a residual energy? Is this something others may see or hear years down the track?

George Wasn't An Earthbound Spirit

Read the article and leave a comment.

I lived in a small country town in Central Victoria in a two-storey weatherboard home with my best friend. We both loved scary movies and ghost stories and thought it was quite a novelty to discover that we had a ghost in the house.

At first the activity was quite innocent and playful. Objects would go missing for weeks only to show up in sealed storage boxes and at the back of cupboards. But as quickly as the activity started, it became nasty.

My friend would be sitting on the couch and could see her hair blowing gently forward and smell 'a foul breathe'. Understandably frightened, she turned all the lights on in the house and resorted to the safety of her kitchen and waited for me to get home from work.

This was only the beginning of what eventuated into a terrifying few months for us. The activity within the house become increasingly dark and heinous as the weeks went by.

We named the ghost 'George' because we felt it was a male energy, and George seemed to be mostly attached to me. George would travel in my car with me.

On a particularly memorable occasion, my brakes failed while I was entering a busy roundabout at the bottom of a hill narrowly missing pedestrians and other cars as I frantically pumped the brakes but to no avail. As I exited the roundabout my car started to operate normally again. I took no risks and went straight to the local mechanics. They could find no reason for the brakes failing no matter how hard the looked.

George would come to work with me. I worked in a petrol station at the time and worked the 'grave yard' shift. The company rules stated that I must have the doors on an automatic lock after 9pm each night for my own safety. The only way the massive glass doors could open was via a switch from behind the counter, or from a key if you were outside. However these doors would open without the switch or the key and products would fall off shelves. On one occasion, a large 20-litre drum of oil came toppling from its place.

George came to my boyfriend's house. My then boyfriend (now husband) lived in a unit at the time. Because his weekly rent was set at a certain amount it included all electricity, gas and water usage, so during the freezing Daylesford winter, the gas fire was burning all the time and it was so warm in the unit it felt stifling. But while sitting on the couch some nights, I would feel a freezing blast of cold air that would pass over me briefly or seem to surround me. There were times where Gus and I would get up from our seats and guided only by our hands, would feel this ice cold 'spot' move throughout the unit.

George would watch me sleep. Without doubt, the most frightened moments that I can remember in the house. My bedroom was forever freezing cold. No amount of heating would take the bone cold chill off the room. The room itself had an oppressive atmosphere that couldn't be ignored by anyone who entered. I was too scared to turn my light off during the night as every night spent in that bedroom brought the same series of events.

Every night I would hear heavy footsteps that would start in the bathroom on the ground level, just outside my door and walk pass my room, through to the kitchen and open the fridge door, which was unmistakably squeaky. Not long after this event, I would then hear the floorboards, beside my bed creek as though someone was standing on them, shifting their weight. I felt as though someone, not particularly nice was standing over me as I tried to sleep. Even with the lights on, I was too scared to look. I would hear a deep guttural voice say 'Hello' to me in the middle of the night; the stuff nightmares are made of.

Some other activity that occurred in this time:

Footsteps up and down the stairs that connected the ground and first floor. Upon entering the house, everyone's initial reaction was to look to the top of the stairs as though someone was there watching you, but you couldn't see them. Some mornings I would discover massive painful bruises on my legs to which I couldn't explain. I put it down to being clumsy and maybe knocking myself at work, until the day I discovered a hand shaped bruise on my upper thigh. Gus's hand wasn't big enough to make this bruise.

My friend had her boyfriend over to watch movies one night when I wasn't home. He had been saying that he thought we were both going loopy with the current state of events that we would report to him. This particular night, they heard tapping coming from within the walls. Try as they might they could not find the source. Tammy would go to the back of the house and report that the tapping was at the front of the house while Shaun would stay in the front of the house and report it coming from the back of the house.

My friend's boyfriend came from the downstairs rumpus room one night and stuck his head across the stair banisters only to see a large, dark shape of a man walk across the room. He didn't mention anything to Tammy until the next day but he never doubted us again.

One afternoon, my friend and I were sitting in the kitchen chatting over a coffee when the topic turned to 'getting rid of George'. The activity was effecting all of the residence and visitors to the house to the point where neither my friend nor I would stay in the house, day or night, alone. While talking about calling in a local psychic we both knew and trusted, I felt a tightening around my voice box and was unable to talk. I ran out onto the back porch where I regained my ability to speak. We only re-entered the house long enough to grab a few belongings and didn't return until the psychic came to cleanse the house.

The psychic came on two occasions to cleanse the house, both times it didn't work for us because George would hide from the medium, I guess he was having too much fun haunting us. The psychic scoured the house for the 'proof' of George and she found him in the bathroom. She claimed that all activity begins in the ground floor bathroom and there, on the wall, was what looked like a dirty handprint to us, but upon closer inspection, showed a face complete with ears, eyes and a nose but not a mouth. I was a perfect face.

The activity would only stop after my visit to a local kinesthiologist.

To this day I don't know what duty a kinesthiologist performs! But upon walking in the door, he said the words I needed to hear in my search in sheer desperation to be rid of this nasty spirit 'Don't worry, he stayed outside'.

After an hour with this man I stood up and felt literally dizzy from the weight that had been lifted from my shoulders. I walked into the hallway and felt alone for the first time in months. I went home to our house and sat in my bedroom and felt comfortable. That night I slept solidly and we never heard from George again.

It has been a sleepless few weeks; the occurrences seem to be escalating to point where I no longer want to be in the house. I have confided in a mate, who, after having some misgivings about the validity of my story agreed to come and spend a few nights over a long weekend on my not to comfortable lounge; it is these three nights I want to share here.

Night 1

Before settling down for the night (about 6pm) we agreed that there would be no alcohol, scary movies or talking about anything freaky, luckily the fact we were good mates made finding plenty of other things to talk about quite easy (the wii did not hurt the situation either). I also placed a tape recorder on the coffee table should I need it.

By 10:30 we were pretty tired so we decided to call it a night; I placed the wii remotes on the coffee table and the TV remote next to the TV. We walked through the house to make sure all windows and doors were closed and with that done it was time for lights out.

Despite my fears, that night I slept like a log and woke up in the morning thinking the night had passed without incident. I strolled into the lounge room to check up on my friend who was still sleeping on the lounge. Looking around the room for anything odd I was shocked to see the wii remotes back in their charger and the TV remote, upon closer inspection, back on top of the cupboard again. I woke up my mate to show him what had happened. With a skeptical smirk, he laughed it off, saying that he heard nothing and that in all probability I had done it to set him up.

We checked the rest of the house and with no further evidence my case was looking pretty weak.

Night 2

After a similar evening (and more then a few jokes from my mate) it was time for lights out again (around 10pm) and this time I did not settle down to easy.

Around 2:30 am after eventually falling into a light slumber about an hour before, I was startled awake by what felt like a blast of air into my ear. Sitting bolt upright the first thing I noticed was that the room seemed really dark, I reached for the lamp but despite frantically flicking the switch on and off, no light came on, the bulb had blown again.

Scared of another night attack I got up and made my way into the lounge room, as I got closer I could see a faint glow coming from the room, now thoroughly freaking out, I moved into the lounge room to see what was going on. Expecting to see some kind of hovering light, I instead found my mate was sitting up on the lounge, his shocked face, illuminated by the light on his mobile phone.

He told me that he had been woken up by a scratching noise and the sound of someone rummaging around near the bookshelf, in trying to turn the lamp on and finding it out of order, he lit up his phone only to discover that there was no one there and the noise had stopped and this was when I came into the room.

After filling him in on what had happened in my bedroom, we decided against going back to his place and instead we made the call to sit out the rest of the night in the dark, the lights still did not seem to be working (after about a hour of getting my courage up I checked the power board and it was all ok). So by candlelight, we passed a rather long night without further incident.

Night 3

After much discussion, we reluctantly agreed to spend the third night (I was more then ready to give up the ghost so to speak) and being tired from the night before we crashed out about 9:30, with all the lights on and me on a mattress next to the lounge.

Like the night before I was woken by what felt like someone blowing air into my ear, sitting up I heard my mate, also awake, ask if I had heard something. I told him about how I was woken up but he said that he was not referring to that. And sure enough within about 3 seconds I heard a faint scratching noise, and it sounded like it was under the floorboards.

Having located the area I quickly walked over and stomped on the ground (it still might be a animal) however the noise did not stop instead it seemed to quicken up as though something was trying to get out. After what seemed like a minute it began to slow down and then the talking started, not whispering, talking. What seemed like three voices all going on at once, it was awful noise, I took one look at my mate without saying a word we both bolted out of the house.

Within the hour we were back at my mate's house cracking open a bottle of scotch and still very much in a state of shock. We both did not really speak much, just a few "wow's and lot of four letter words.

This is not quite the end of this but I can add more later as I think I have posted another long one here.

Further Experiences

It has been has been quite a while since my last post, the noise and other weird phenomena had, until recently seemed to go away. Being more of a believer now (I am now willing to accept that all was not right before) and having done a lot more research, I put the lack of activity down to some changes in my personal life. Throughout 2009 I was not living alone but with a great girl who due to her work commitments has now moved interstate leaving me once again on my lonesome.

As I said, I have had no more problems, no smells, scratching, whispering, footsteps and self playing guitars, nothing. Following my health scare, I upon doctor's advice went on holidays to Victoria for some rest and this is where I met my girlfriend. At this stage I did not say anything about what had been going on and when I returned home in early 2009 all was quiet, and after a couple of weeks I was able to relax in my own house again. When my girlfriend moved in a couple of months later I talked to her about the weird goings on but she laughed them off with a healthy skepticism and no more was really said on the matter.

At the end of last year, my girlfriend went back to Victoria and within days of her moving out I began to hear the whispering again and like before it was not audible and when I first heard it, lying in bed, I put it down to sleepy imagination (wishful thinking). But after a couple months of this and now other things I know this is not the case.

Shortly after I first heard the whispering again, I was standing in my back room when I felt a sudden rush of wind go past as though someone (thing) had run by me, fast. Now being a bit wiser on these matters I immediately suspected the worse as the room I was standing in had no doors or windows open (it was a typical mountains day, if you live there you will know what I mean).

At this point I knew to be on the look out and sure enough within days of the wind, I noticed things starting to move or going missing. For about three days, The TV remote kept ending up on top of the book shelf, even though I would make a point of putting it down next to the TV when I went to bed, it was only when I said to thin air, I am going to bed leave it alone that this stopped

I felt totally bonkers doing this, but having read on this site of people doing it, I thought I would give it a shot. The fact that it worked has also confirmed what I suspected, there is something in my house.

With the whispering continuing, and items like books and CD's going missing, I thought I would try it again. The next time I heard the familiar "psst" I sat up in bed and shouted "go away, you're not welcome". I do not remember much after that, the room got blacker, I started getting dizzy and next I knew it was morning and was I lying in bed with what felt like the worst hangover of my life.

I went and got a check up as before and got the all clear, so now it was panic time. The last few weeks things have not got any better, whatever it is seems to be quite cranky with me, I have come home from work to find two windows broken (nothing stolen, did not seem like a break in), I cannot get a light bulb to work for more then a day, more whispering and much much more, these events I will give in my next post.

Frightening Night 2

My friend's mum began to panic. She called her husband's mobile - after 5 calls, he finally answered. She started to explain what had happened. There was a knock on my friend's bedroom door - It was his dad. We let him in.

He asked what the hell was going on. We explained it to him. He stepped out with my friend's cricket bat, and proceeded to go into the bathroom. When my friend's dad went into the bathroom, we saw the shadowy figure fly out of his mum's sewing/spare room.

My face felt like all the blood had washed out of it. My friend told his mum what he saw. She looked, nothing was there. His sister then screamed. "Holy crap!" I began to panic. His dad ran out of the bathroom and ran towards his daughters room - thinking that the intruder was in there. We see them coming towards my friend's room, his sister obviously stricken with fear.

We asked what had happened to her - She said that while she was sleeping, she felt some pressure on her body, she woke up and saw a dark figure over her, and that's when she screamed. When their dad came into the room and turned on the light - nothing was there. It was empty - and if there was someone there... Well, they had no chance to escape - unless they wanted to die by jumping out the window.

His parents started talking, while my friend, his sister and I were watching "Will & Grace" on my ipod, to help us take our mind off things. Then their brother screamed, ran out of his room and we see him bolt downstairs - Their parents ran out after him. My friend quickly locked his bedroom door. When my friend came back to us to sit down - that noise came back again this time. The knocking sounded like it came from the door. His sister got freaked out.

My friend started yelling for his parents. I then felt a chill and my friend's sister screamed. She backed away from the bed. So we did too. We started seeing some black smokey fume start to form into a, well, it looked like a grim reaper - I was stunned with fear. My friend's sister ran out, and we followed. My friend screaming for his parents.

We see light in the livingroom and his dad coming towards us. We told him what we saw and we all went into the livingroom. I asked if their house was haunted. They said they don't know, then all of a sudden, we heard that knocking noise again. We all see the shadowy figure outside of the livingroom - but it was like it couldn't enter the room. Something was blocking it. My friend's dad started yelling at it, asking it what it wanted. My friend's brother grabbed the crucifix his mum was holding and threw it at the figure - it went through it, but the figure disappeared.

We were all stunned with fear. We all ended up staying in the livingroom, with the lights and TV on, all bunched together. We ended up falling asleep. Morning finally came and we were all SO happy. My friend's mum called the priest of my friend's sister's Catholic school.

Me and my friend ended up going to my place straight away - I don't know what happened after that.

Frightening Night

It's been so long since I've had anything strange happen to me, but on Sunday 07/06/2009, something very frightening happened to me and my friend whilst I was sleeping over his place during the 3 day weekend.

My friend has never experienced anything paranormal in his house until now - though he has only lived in it for about 7 months.

His house is the only house I've been in that has a 'basement' and an 'attic' since not all houses in Australia, Sydney are built with those additonal rooms.

Anyways, obviously with all the horror movies, scary stories about basements and attics I've heard so much about, I wondered if the basement would be spooky. Once I went down there, to my surprise his family had made it into a recreational room - nothing spooky AT ALL! It was like another living room. It was well lit, had nothing spooky about it, and this was the room me and my friend spent most of our weekends in.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened on Friday or Saturday; everything was ok. It was like any other day. But then, while playing an online game in the basement, we heard a noise. We thought nothing of it, since all houses make those 'knocking' and 'tick' noises, but that made us look at the time; 12:00am Sunday.

We decided to head to bed when it struck 2am - Anyways, while we continued to play on the computer, we began to hear whispers. My friend looked at me and I thought maybe it was coming from the game.

My friend turned down the volume and the whispers stopped. Me and my friend starting laughing cause we had realised we were just freaking ourselves out. He turned up the volume again. After a few minutes, the whispers began (Imagine Harry Potter "parcel tongue" - it was like that, whispering). Since we thought it was just the game or something wrong with the speakers - we didn't do anything about it.

But then all of a sudden, there came an "uuh!" That noise made me shudder and my friend jump. I told my friend to just turn the volume lower - he did, but the whispers were still present. My friend turned off the speaker, but the whispers continued...

Me and my friend looked at each other and then to the time on the computer - was about 1:20am? We were getting a little freaked out so we decided to go to bed. When we left the basement, and went out of the kitchen, I swear to god, I saw some black figure flying across the living room, but since it was dark I thought that maybe it was my imagination. We proceeded to head upstairs. Once we got to his bedroom, we felt relief. He was getting into his bed, while I was getting into the mattress provided - While lying down, with my ipod illuminating the room, I asked my friend if he saw anything downstairs. He said he saw something black, but figured it was the curtains in the living room.

That made me feel relieved, since it's his house and he perhaps knew that normal things could look paranormal in the night.

We said our "goodnight" and as I was about to put my earphones on, we heard the most strangest noise. Only way I could explain it was... "BOUNG BOUNG - "KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK" (knock knock was like someone pounding the wall).

"What the heck was that?" I said. My friend quickly jumped out of bed and turned on the lights. We gave each other, confused looks. "Did you hear that?" I asked. "Yeah" he replied. "Well? Was it your brother or" before I could finish. "BOUNG BOUNG - KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK" - My friend quickly locked his door and ran towards me, standing next to my mattress - I stood next to him as well. He got out his phone and called the house phone, hoping someone would wake up. Not even 5 rings the phone answered, no answer. I thought it was weird that the phone was answered so quickly, when everyone was sound asleep. He called again, the phone was engaged.

My friend began to suspect that maybe someone was in the house and that black shadowy thing we saw was the intruder. We began to freak. He called his brother's mobile, while I called his mums mobile (cell phone). His brother didn't answer, but his mum did. I gave the phone to him, and he proceeded to tell his mum. He hung up and said "wait in my room"...

We waited for about 5 minutes when there was a knock on his door. "Mum?" he asked. No answer... "Mum! Is that you?!" he began to panic. "Sweety, be quiet - I don't want to wake everyone" - HUGE RELIEF. We opened the door, his mum came in, and when my friend closed the door - I saw that black figure move into the bathroom. "Close the door!" I said. My friend quickly closed the door - "What is wrong with you two?" his mum asked.

My friend started to explain the odd knocking noise, the black figure we saw and how the home phone was picked up straight away, and how we tried to call it again, it was engaged.

"It's late, your mind plays tricks on you - especially when you were both on the computer all day," his mum explained.

"Yeah, but I don't think it affects our ears!" my friend retaliated.

His mum asked what is it we heard. We made the noise for her. She then said that it was probably the water running through the house. My friend said that water running through the pipes in the house does not make that type of noise and asked her to explain the thing with the phone, how it got picked up so quickly.

She then said that maybe his sister picked it up, and forgot to turn it off. My friend gave his mum his mobile to call the house phone, it started ringing, picked up straight away, and no answer. She hung up, called again, engaged - She called her daughters mobile. She wasn't answering - she called again. Finally she answered, and thinking it was her brother, started swearing her head off. Until she realised it was her mum. She then asked her if she had been answering the home phone. My friend's sister said that she's been asleep the whole time.

My friend's mum hung up and dialed the home phone again. This time it rang. Picked up straight away, my friend's mum quickly hung up. "What is it?" my friend asked. His mum started to explain that she heard whispers for around 5 seconds then she swore she heard, "get you!"

As she was about to head out of the room to get her husband, I stopped her. Saying that if there really was someone in the house - then that black shadowy figure I saw go into the bathroom, could be out there.

Figure Of A Man At The Foot Of My Bed

This is just a little story about what type of ghost experiences I've been through.

When I was about 5 years old my parents built a really nice house, this house therefore there should not be kind of paranormal activity. As I recall the first few nights were fine. I shared a room with my sister and I slept well. After about 3 years of living there my oldest sister moved out back into our old house which we still had. So the sister I shared my room with moved out and took my oldest sister's room which left me on my own.

Most nights I was too scared to sleep alone so I usually ended up in my parent's bed.

One night I looked towards the end of the bed where I saw what appeared to be a figure a man with his back towards me. I imagined the figure going away then I'd open my eyes and the figure was still there. The only thing I could think of was it was my grandfather who had died a year ago.

Why would he be scaring me like this? Surely he would be looking over me and not scaring me.

It kind of upset me that this did happen, but maybe there is a reason.

So if you can help me that would be appreciated.

Thank you

Feelings of Dread and Orbs

Four nights ago, my husband and I went to bed quite late, around 12:30am. I guess we both dozed off as soon as our heads hit the pillow. I was suddenly awakened. Thinking it was time to wake the children to get ready for school, I checked the mobile phone for the time, and it was only 2:58am.

Just as suddenly as I had waken up, a feeling of dread filled the room. Even in my state of half awake, I felt the room cool and it seemed as though there was a bad presence nearby. I closed my eyes and prayed that this feeling, deep in the pits of my stomach, would go away.

After a minute or so, I opened my eyes, and there floating around the room were three spirit like objects. Two in the shape of orbs and one big one which looked like a faint white bed sheet. It seemed that the two orbs were aggressively following the bigger spirit around the bedroom. They would intertwine with this other spirit as if they were trying to push it away.

Soon the bigger spirit disappeared and the two orbs were entwining with each other as though playing. The bad feeling immediately went away and a happy feeling filled the atmosphere. I watched these orbs as they played and chased each other. I felt at peace and enjoyed watching them at play.

I couldn't go back to sleep for the rest of the night. It was an incredible experience.

If you remember my last post at the end I was talking about hearing things I wasn't sure if I had heard or not. Well there have been a few others, and I will list them all, these have happened over a few months, and as I said I don't know what to think of them

1. Metal- This has happened a few times, as I said a ladder against a trailer was my best description.

2. Glass- glass against glass, like putting a glass down next to others and a bit to close and they tinker, after I heard this I went to ask mum if she was doing anything in the kitchen, we ended up checking every window was closed and locked.

3. Water- it sounded like splashing water, Mum was asleep, I got up to check thinking it was my dog having a drink but she wasn't at her water bowl, then I thought it might be one of the fish had jumped out of the water, but the water was completely still and hadn't been disturbed

4. Hello- Just a simple Hello, I am not sure if it was a woman or a man.

As I said I don't know what to think of these things, the house was only built 7 years ago, and my neighbors where living there when this house was built and they haven't said anything about anything bad that had happened.

Thank you

Years ago my Aunty and Grandparents lived in a house in a place called McLaughlin's Beach in Victoria, Australia. My Aunts, and Grandparents experiences all happened in the same house. The house had been moved there from Yallourn Victoria by my grandparents.

There was a kitchen and lounge room and then a hallway with two bedrooms on one side and a bedroom and bathroom on the other. My Aunty was having a bath one night and after wards she was going back to her room which was across from the bathroom and stopped in the middle of the hallway and let out a blood curdling scream, when my grandparents rushed to her, she was shaking and really pale, she had seen a ghost of a man standing in the hallway.

My Grandfather was asleep one night, in the bedroom next to the bathroom and he woke up and saw a ghost of a little girl in the door way.

On another night my Grandmother heard hobnailed boots walking around the kitchen and other strange noises, when she got up in the morning she found the birdcage with bird in it that was one of those cages hanging off a stand had been thrown across the room, the bird survived being thrown.

And also a few months ago I was walking down the street to catch a bus and I saw someone or something looking over my shoulder, I stopped and quickly turned around and there was no one else on the street. It was a girl with wavy brown hair.

As well a couple of times I have seen this bright white light out of the corner of my eyes, at night while my trying to sleep and my eyes are half closed, my bedroom is at the back of the house, so it can't be headlights, and I sleep with a eye patch on.

And sometimes when I'm nearly asleep I hear noises, I'm never sure if I made them up or not, it is usually the sound of metal against metal, like a ladder being dragged off a trailer, but that could also be a neighbors garage door, though I don't hear cars before hand. Honestly never considered it was something paranormal, I just get up to check that the garage door is locked and our car isn't being stolen.

Experiences Since Childhood - Demonic?

Read the article and leave a comment.

I'm 21 years old and I'm from Australia. I have had several experiences since I was a small child. The following story is about some of my experiences which I think may be connected and may mean that a dark entity or demon was following me as a child/teen.

Ever since I was a small child (I have been told by my mother) I've claimed to be scared of 'things' that I could see when I was alone in my bedroom or had to go into certain places at night/in the dark. Up until the age of 6 we lived with my grandmother and I would refuse to make the walk from the living room through the dark kitchen to go to the bathroom as I claimed 'it' would get me.

When I was 6 and my brother was 2 we moved down the street and into an old 3 bedroom house. At the back of the house was a bedroom with large windows taking up the whole of the southern wall. This was originally my brother's room. All was fine for a while until suddenly my brother would refuse to sleep in his bedroom because he claimed there was something in there. He would become hysterical if he had to go to bed there and often woke up through the night crying and scared. My parents decided I should swap bedrooms with my brother.

From the first night in my new bedroom I felt like I was being watched. I began to hear footsteps and noises in the hallway outside my bedroom door. When I heard these noises I would close my eyes and put my head under the cover, hardly breathing and willing whatever it was to go away. Sometimes when I woke up during the middle of the night (sometimes from hearing the noises other times not) I would look to the corner of my bedroom and see a dark figure. This would lead to me running from the room to my parent's bedroom. My parents dismissed it saying that I was imagining things and that the house was old. For years I woke up most nights and constantly felt like something was watching me.

I distinctly remember one particular occasion when I was about 9. I had woken up in the middle of the night for the usual reasons - shuffling/walking noises in the hallway outside my door. I lay in bed quietly with my head facing the door, peeking out of the covers - I couldn't see anything. The footsteps started to walk into my bedroom and towards me, though I still couldn't see anything there. A strange ominous feeling came over me like something bad was going to happen and I instantly got goose bumps, which had never happened before. I felt like there was something right there over me. This freaked me right out so I ran as fast as I could to my parent's bedroom.

I refused to go back to my bedroom so my parents allowed me to sleep in their bed. Normally when I went into my parents bedroom I became calm but this time I still felt scared that something was there watching me. In the corner of their bedroom was an armchair. Lying in the bed, I was directly facing the chair and I saw a distinct black figure with glowing green eyes staring at me. I flipped out and woke my mother up, telling her what I saw. She looked to the chair with me (I could still see it there) and said there was nothing, that it was the moonlight reflecting on something (there was nothing green there). I closed my eyes and tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't shake the feeling so I looked back at the chair and it was still there. At that time, for some reason I felt like it was laughing at me. I tucked my head under the covers and lay there silently, not able to fall asleep.

I continued to see the figure in the corner of the room and hear the footsteps and noises in the hallway right until we moved when I was 14. I should also mention that throughout the whole time we lived at that house I had mental/behavioral issues where I would become angry and go 'crazy' My mother said I would scream, become violent, destroy my own things and hurt myself during these episodes which she said was like I had been possessed. I never remembered anything that happened afterwards.

I had a few other experiences at my cousin's house also which may be connected and also some other experiences at the new house we moved to which I will talk about later if people are interested. I'm not sure if these experiences were the result of a dark entity or demon?

Evil Spared Us

Some of you know me, I'm back with an update. It began as soon as I arrived at my friends house for the night. I could feel an entity, nor good nor bad, or it was too powerful for me to feel. So, me and my friend loved ghosts, well I did, my friend was a very skeptic but now he is addicted to ouija.

On that night we made an ouija board from internet instructions. We went outside and looked at a dark alley way with a street light over it. We went under the light in the end of the alley way and were about to begin our scene. Suddenly the light went out and we began to run, but I foolishly were wearing skate shoes, very floppy and as soon as I took of, my shoe went flying of. It was pitch black and I was running but stopped, began to think to get my shoe back while everyone else hid behind a car. I ran into the alley way and searched for my shoe, I found it and I felt an urge to look up to the alley way.

As I raised my head a saw a dark shadow looking at me and from then on I felt at peace with it, but also scared of it, the same feeling I had when I arrived at my friends house. So I ran and we went inside and made another one and went outside again. The light was fixed, although the glass was smashed and the paper was torn and no one recalled standing on it. So we had another go and had some good experiences and then we went to bed and it was another day.

2 days after first scene.

I went to another friends house who wasn't a skeptic but believed in ghosts. He himself claimed to see a ghost in his hall and that at his cousin's house saw a demon. Well I made a new ouija board at his house and began to play in his laundry. We asked for a good spirit but can't remember anything about that particular conversation. The only thing I remember is the door opening by itself. So after that we went into my friends bedroom and began to play (the freaky part).

We asked for good spirits and all bad spirits to leave. We didn't get anything for 20 minutes until I asked "is there any good spirits with us", it moved to no. That explains why for 20 minutes we didn't get anything because no good spirits were about.

After it moved to no, we moved the glass to goodbye and both said it. At this moment we both urged each other to stop but then we ended up me watching and my friend playing, (never play with 1 person because not enough energy to keep it at bay). My friend just put his fingers on the cup and said hello, the cup began to flip but my friend tried to keep it down. Suddenly the whole cup flipped over and my friend turned it over and said goodbye.

At this point doors were opening and closing by itself and there was banging on the door next to ours. We ran outside with the ouija and found some matches and burnt the board to ashes, at that time the gate next to us was moving and we were terrified. We ran inside and the banging was louder and louder and we knew what ever it was was angry. We read the bible over and over again and prayed and it stopped, I am a strong catholic and my friend is Christian. Before I read a book that catholics can keep evil away so I think it might of worked. I left that then and everything has been alright except for now, 2 weeks later.

At night and day I see shadows white and dark in the corner of my eye, at my mum's door was moving by itself half open to almost shut and I saw a shadow stand in the door line and disappear, it is freaky stuff but I have learned to show no fear and ask it to leave.

Thanks for reading my story,

Demonboy!

Evil Eye

When I was about 5 years old I was staying at my great-grandmothers house. I was sleeping in the lounge-room and then "Nature Called". It was the middle of the night and very creepy, but I really needed to pee. After say half an hour of holding-on I couldn't go on, so I got off the couch wrapped the blanket around me and set off to the bathroom.

Now its hard to explain but I had to walk down the hallway, straight ahead is the bathroom, to the left of the bathroom the hallway continues in like an "L" shape and to my right is the Kitchen. Well if you look to the other side of the kitchen you have the window to outside...

Continuing my story, as I was walking down the hallway I got chills down my spine and did not want to go on naturally. I had a feeling someone was either down the hallway or in the kitchen. I had my blanket around my head so I could not catch anything in the corner of my eye. Well that did not really work because I got curious and had to check the hallway an kitchen before I could walk passed them.

I closed my eyes and walk down the hallway, I stopped just before the kitchen by feeling the wall. After a couple of deep breaths I got the guts to open my eyes an look down the hallway... Nothing! Well I still had that cold feeling so it was the kitchens turn.

Well I waited a few seconds before looking into the kitchen, what I saw will haunt me for the rest of my life. As I looked into the kitchen my attention was focused to the kitchen window where an enormous red eye was staring straight at me. I froze for only a second before it winked at me and like moved away upward.

After seeing the big evil looking red eye, I screamed and ran back to the couch and hid under the blankets. My great-grandmother heard me scream and came into the lounge-room to see if I was all right. After about an hour she finally calmed me down enough for me to tell her what had happened. The next day she sat me down and talked to me about it some more. She told me about 20 years ago before that night the same thing happened to her...

The End

Everyone Wants To Meet The New Baby

Read the article and leave a comment.

My new son, baby Jake was born on June 13th, 2009, and is now 3 and half weeks old. He's had many visitors but none as strange as the 3 that turned up the other day...

Now that Jake is growing and becoming more aware of the world, it's not just a matter of feeding him, changing him and putting him to sleep, so getting him settled is becoming a bit more difficult. I've taken to reading to him after he's had a feed and a nappy change but still doesn't feel like sleeping.

Being born in winter, I chose a story book entitled, "the winter child", a fairy story by Terri Windling and illustrated by Wendy Froud. It's one of my favorites and quirky enough to read to a boy, being a fairy tale and all.

So I had little Jakey in his bassinet as I sat on the end of my bed, which I had JUST made, and read to him. Sneezle, the main character and his friend twig, had just escaped from the goblins and their evil master Malagan the sorcerer, in a flying shoe... Of course.

I'd like to think I'm a lively story teller, and Jake being so young he probably doesn't understand the words I'm saying, but at least appreciates the tone variance in my voice as I read to him.

Anyways, I'm reading away and Jake's starting to settle when I start to feel movement behind me. I ignored it at first but then thought, "Hey, it feels like someone's settling into my bed". I kept reading and shifted my position and shortly felt movement again. Realizing that it was very different from my own, the way the bed moved and all, I glanced over my shoulder and was quite shocked to see a heavy indentation of what looked like a bum print on my partner's side of the bed! I thought then, "oh dear... We have company..."

I kept reading some more thinking OK, they just want to hear the story too, and being a strong believer in fairies and spirits too, I didn't want to offend them. I don't want keys and socks to start going missing around the house!

When I got to the end of the chapter, I closed the book and stood up saying, "that's all for today. Jake's asleep now and I don't want him to miss the rest of the story". I left the book on the bed and wheeled Jake's bassinet out into the lounge, then came back into my room to inspect my bed.

To my surprise, I noticed there was not 1, but 3 indentations, all different sizes! The first one was about the size of a small child, toddler even. The second, about half that, and the third was even smaller, maybe even smaller than Jake! Remember, I had just made the bed and nothing had been on it, and these were heavy indentations, as though someone was sitting there, only I couldn't see anything, just dents in the doona.

I' didn't want to panic or fret so I just calmly said, "I hope you enjoyed the story, and I really hope your intentions are good because if anything happens to my son, I will find you".

I then left the room and went about my business. I decided to leave 3 biscuits in front of the dents, just in case they were fairies, I hear they like sweet gifts. Coming back into the room again later, the biscuits were still there, as were the dents, but they weren't so deep now, as if who ever was sitting there had left. The pressure of their weight was no longer pushing down into the bed. I felt the air above the dents with my hands, and it was warm and tingly and sent shivers up my spine. I wasn't quite sure what to make of it all so later that day I had my 2 best friends come over to see.

They both felt a tingling sensation as soon as they entered the room, saw the indentations and felt them the way I had done before. They both felt something although one said it was warm and tingly, the other said it was cold and clammy. They both had constant shivers up their spines as did I the whole time we were in there.

That happened two days ago now and for the record, there were no drugs or alcohol involved, but I did want to share this story with others to maybe get an opinion on who or what was listening in on my son's story time. I don't think it was a bad thing but regardless, I slept in the lounge room that night with Jake curled up beside me and the dog asleep on the couch next to us... Just to be on the safe side.

Entity Laying Next to Me

I recently had read a story in a trashy magazine while in a hair dressers that sounded so much like I had experienced that I decided to write here now, thinking I may not have dreamt it and that someone else has experienced a very similar situation (but can I say I started writing this story last night while I was in bed and every time I tried to submit it, it just wouldn't work and I ended up losing the whole story which scared me a bit, you'll see why later as you read on).

My husband was working interstate, so me and my dog had the whole queen size bed to ourselves (the dog in her own bed next to me on the floor). It was probably early in the morning - as I have a pretty good ritual of waking up around any time between 1 and 3am - to feel what appeared to be warmth next to my skin as well as the feeling of body hair. I initially thought that my husband must have come home and snuck into bed, but I then thought that there was no way as he wasn't due home and the dog would have arose to any sounds as well as the fact my husband would definitely have woken me up to say "Hello". With this thought I reached over next to me to feel absolutely nothing not even warm sheets. I partially sat up looked around in the dark to see nothing in the shadows of clock radio light and I also checked my dog who appeared to be sound asleep in a tight ball in her bed. I pulled the quilt up over my head to suddenly feel hands wrap around my waist and pull me down into the bed.

I then woke up! I was cold and shaken and really didn't think it was a dream. I again felt next to me and the dog and as before everything was fine. I then again pulled up the quilt over my head and waited for myself to fall back asleep.

I don't know what it was. I do get feelings and psychic sensitivities but have never tried to work with these so called "powers". I will one day get the courage to check them out as I do have some pretty graphic dreams but I really feel this wasn't a dream as it really upset me.

The house I live in has been there for over 10 years with a few owners before, we have been there 4 years now and although I have had a few strange happenings I don't think its haunted!

Endless Screams

Two years ago we moved houses. The street we live on doesn't have many houses, but a lot of paddocks which means there aren't a lot of kids, mainly adults and the elderly. So while lying in my bed late one night I had a really weird feeling that kept me from sleeping and I had no idea why.

I looked at my clock and found it was past midnight, when I heard a scream sounding as if it was coming from directly outside my window, which worried me because my bed is against the window. What had me worried more was the fact it was a girl's scream and I didn't know of any girls living around here, or what a girl was doing up this late at night. The scream was still going when it suddenly stopped. I felt a cool breeze then the scream started again as if it were happening right outside of my door. I thought it was all in my head when the scream finally stopped, but still struggled to fall asleep.

I also thought it would never happen again because the weird feeling disappeared after that first night but it happened night after night after night, sometimes the screams would come from different places.

I told my friend, but she thought I was lying. I need help to get through this please leave any helpful comments, it still is happening.

Encounter With A Friend?

I'm just seeking comments / discussion about an experience that I had. I've never talked about it before, but I have become curious about what happened and would be interested in other people's thoughts.

When I was 18, one year out of high school, one of my friends who was in the same grade as me committed suicide. I felt like I had not done my best to stop the situation, as I knew he was depressed and having suicidal thoughts. We were quite close, but I had become uneasy around him after high school.

Anyway, I was quite badly affected by his death, feeling somewhat responsible. I thought about him every day for a long time after. On the one-year anniversary of his death, I lit a candle in my room, for remembrance. I broke down in tears, apologizing to him continually for not being a good friend, and asked for a sign that he understood my side of things, and perhaps forgive me. I focused on the lighter I had used to light the candle, continually asking for a sign. After about a minute or so, the lighter moved about an inch across my desk. I was scared but somewhat at ease. I said out loud that I'd never ask him for a sign again, partly because I was so scared of what had happened.

Since then I've never seen any more signs and only 'talk to him' out loud on occasion.

Just wondering what everyone thinks of what happened. Is it possible that someone who had just gone a year before this could show a sign like this? I'm not sure.

Ellie's Visitation

Read the article and leave a comment.

Ellie is my other-half's favourite Auntie. She's in her mid-to-late 60's. Ellie's husband, Terry, died four years ago and she has lived alone ever since. Recently, Ellie has been in hospital with an e-Coli infection and as part of her treatment, the doctor's put her into an induced coma for a week. It was pretty touch-and-go with the prognosis not necessarily being positive. Thank heavens, Ellie recovered and is now at home. Weak ... but almost back to her old self.

At any rate, my other half and I got in the car and went to pay a call on her yesterday. I am a believer in _most_ things paranormal, my other-half: a skeptic! As Ellie had been in a coma, I was interested to see if she'd had a NDE. When questioning Ellie about the time she was in the coma, she could not recall anything *peculiar*. However, the conversation then turned to ghostie's ... Ellie relayed the story about her sister, Lynne, now dead these past two years.

Lynne died of a heart-attack which was completely unexpected, and a great shock to Ellie, as Lynne had no prior history of heart problems. Ellie and Lynne were great friends and Lynne's demise has left Ellie a little lost. She misses her sister greatly. There was a photo of Lynne on a little table in Ellie's lounge room. One evening, while Ellie was watching the idiot-box, Lynne's photo crashed to the floor and the frame broke. It was winter, all doors/windows were closed - in other words, there was no wind to blow the photo over. Paul, Ellie's son, fixed the frame [which made Ellie very happy as she liked the frame a lot] and the photo was placed back in its spot on the table. Yet again, while watching the TV, this time with Paul, Lynne's photo crashed to the floor a second time. Jokes were made about Lynne **not liking the position of the photo, she was always nosey and couldnt see enough from that position.** We all make quips like this from time to time. Lynne's photo was put on the wall, where it has remained without incident, ever since. But that is NOT the story I want to tell you. It merely forms the back-drop for the real tale.

Before commencing the tale, Ellie prefaced it with "I don't believe in this stuff." I didn't imagine Ellie was talking about ghosts! Ellie could be a soldier ... as soon as she gets up, she gets dressed and makes her bed. No cuppa first - unlike me who can't function without caffeine first thing in the morning. Apparently, Ellie follows this regime EVERY morning without fail. I make a point of this because, by the time Ellie has dressed and made her bed, she is OBVIOUSLY wide-awake. This particular morning, just *after* Lynne's death, Ellie followed her usual morning routine. Ellie dressed, made her bed, and then exited her bedroom, to make a cuppa and go about her business. When Ellie came out of her bedroom, she walked into the hallway and saw Lynne "come through the window in a flowing white dress". Lynne was with "some man". Ellie, quite taken aback, she knew that her sister was deceased, spoke to Lynne. "Lynne, what are you doing here?" Lynne said, "I just came to see if you were alright." The man didn't say anything, he just stood there. Ellie then got quite upset. She was crying and visibly distressed. Helga, Ellie's next door neighbour came in for a cuppa and asked Ellie "What's the matter?" Ellie explained.

Now, Ellie didn't say how Lynne and the man left, whether they walked out or just disappeared. She also didn't say how long the visitation lasted. Ellie wasn't scared, she was shocked and upset because she knew full well that Lynne shouldn't have been in her house because she had only recently died. I said to Ellie, "You are very lucky! Lynne managed to come back to let you know she loves you and is watching over you." Millions of people on the planet would love ONE last conversation with their departed love ones. I can think of some people I'd dearly love to have one last conversation with. On the drive back home, I surmised to my other half that the man was actually Ellie's husband, Terry. This wasn't particularly well received by my boyfriend. Reason? Apparently Lynne and Terry didn't get on very well in life, he couldn't see them visiting Ellie together. I disagree. I believe that once people have died, all these petty little personality problems dissipate. I think it was Terry there with Lynne. Ellie's husband and sister paying one last visit. Maybe Lynne needed some help in *focusing* to visit Ellie and Terry came along to lend a hand. They both had one thing in common, a love for Ellie. I think they put their differences aside so that Lynne could let Ellie know that she was OK and still cared for her. I also think the reason the **man** was indistinguishable and didn't speak, was because it was Lynne's *mission* to contact Ellie, he was just there in support of Lynne.

Electrical Ghost

Hi everyone, I've decided to share my story with you as I'm not too sure what to make of all this, I think there is some sort of ghost in my house playing with my electricity. I live in western australia, and my house it quiet old, I live near the old army barracks in swanborne which is located right on the coast. I was at home the other night, and every room that I stepped into, the light would dim in that room, flicker for a bit, then go back to normal, which is quiet strange as this has never happened before.

I brushed it off as it being an old house, until I went into my room and turned on my stereo and put it on volume level 45, I got to the kitchen, and my stereo turned off! The switch was on, but the volume had been turned down to zero. By now I was starting to get a little scared, and called my house mate and get her to hurry home. A few moments after she arrived home, I went into the toilet and the light bulb smashed through the glass light shade and onto the floor, which scared the bigeebies out of us both, but as we went into the spare room to get the spare light globes, as I opened each packet, they were all smashed, all 6 of them! How could this be, they were brand new and still in the box!

I know it could just be my imagination, but it's not just the lights either, my house phone will ring constantly and when I answer it, it has dial tone... Or I will come home from work and all the lights are on! And I'm the last to leave in the morning, and I make sure I turn them off! If any one knows anything about what's been happening. Please let me know.

Thanks heaps

Dreams Again

Right, where to begin...

If you have read my previous story you would know of my past experiences. If you have, do you remember the part of my dreams?

Every night I pray for protection to God and also for the protection of the ones I love. I also pray about other things but none that are important to these experiences.

Two nights in a row, at least 2 weeks ago, I had strange dreams. The first I was standing in complete darkness-not even a floor to be seen-just what I could see in first person of my body somehow being illuminated.

Then a medium toned male voice called out "Why do you ask for protection?" then in a more demonic voice, "It's not like YOU'RE going to be executed" and as if on a big television screen, 6 of them boxing me.

There was an image of a person being hung in a gruesome way. Then I wake up panting.

The next night I got to sleep (I have normal dreams) and then suddenly an image of a demon which wakes me up. In the second that I wake up, something begins tapping my bed.

I have no idea what these things mean. Can someone help me to confirm these are just dreams or if someone is trying to contact me but in a different way to the one that happened in Cronulla?

Thank you all for reading.

Dream Then Cracked Window

Firstly I would like to say that this didn't actually happen to me but my best friend. She is a huge skeptic and doesn't believe in ghost very much so doesn't think this is weird. I however am sure this is paranormal and would very much like to know if I should be worried.

First the back history of the house. The house isn't very old most likely 30 -40 years old but has a dark history. About 13 years ago a young man around 20-30 years of age hung himself in the back shed of felicity's house. We are not sure why he did this but the land lord told felicity that they found his body swinging from the roof of the shed the day after it happened. We never thought anything of it all though whenever I stay over felicity I feel very uneasy and like I am always watched. It's the worst feeling in the world. But recently felicity experienced something, and I am worried what this could mean...

About a month ago felicity had a dream about the young man which is odd as she never met him ever or had never seen a photo of him before. She only knew what he looked like when she asked the land lord what he actually looked like. Now to the dream. 'She woke up in her room like usual. She got out of bed and looked out her window to the shed were she saw this man hanging from the roof. She said the body was facing away from her then swung around to look at her and his eyes opened and there was like a white light coming from them.' She then woke up. She didn't think anything of this dream until she had asked the land lord about the man who had hung himself and she had said brown eyes and hair pale skin and a very particular scar on the right side of the neck. This was the man felicity had seen in her dream. Thinking nothing weird of it felicity swapped to another room for a change to a room at the front of the house. Her mum was suppose to move into her room but decided to stay in the room she was already in. A week after she moved into the new room late at night she heard a loud crack as she was sleeping. Her mum had heard it to. So they went to investigate the room they had heard the noise from felicity's old room. Now in this room it's like a small rectangle room but with a walk in cupboard with sliding mirror doors. When they went to investigate they went into the cupboard and saw that they mirror had cracked. But it had a ripple effect in it like if you were to throw something at the mirror and it chips to that effect...

This can't be a coincidence right? A dream about she had never seen before and then the mirror cracking right after she moved out of the room. Please help me so I can help her I'm worried.

Don't Say Boo

I and my mates where out and about one night when my best mate Billy said he had an Ouija board and we should muck around with it. Being 15 and bored we all said yes, why not.

When we got to his place he went up to his dads room and got the Ouija board. We didn't know how it worked so we just played with it until I said boo, that's when things went bad. I mean really bad for me.

Nothing happened for a little bit but the Ouija board moved and boo came up and it scared the you know what out of us so when we went back out to a party. I could see the word boo all over the place; when I went out side I could see boo, in side boo, in the car boo.

When I got to bed my stuff went flying all over my room. My knifes where flying at my head and my drawers where opening and closing my TV was going, on off on off until my dad walked in to see what was going on but I couldn't tell him. I was frozen in place.

The next night the same thing; knives, TV, drawers, but this time my cat was also flying around my room. The next night was a lot worse.

One of my knives cut me across my fore head. I needed 12 stitches to the cut. I didn't know what to do so I told my dad what was going on but he didn't believe me. When my head got cut he was still at work and also that day I got into a fight at school so he just said that my head was cut because of that fight.

What can I do to stop this stuff?

Don't Let Elka Get You

This story is very recent and I am curious as to why it happened.

I was trying to get to sleep one night but wasn't very tired. I was lying in my room which has another spare room next to it. The door of the spare room was open and I was staring at my large bear collection trying to sleep. All of a sudden my bears started talking to me which was very odd. I thought I was going crazy. It took me a moment to really listen to what they were saying. They were urgently telling me "Don't let Elka get you". I got very scared and wondered how I was imagining it. I didn't know anyone called Elka and I still don't.

I was about to yell for my mum when the voices stopped and a tall dark shadow came out of the spare bedroom and into my room. I completely froze. I have a big fear of ghosts and have seen them on multiple occasions, but this one wasn't nice like them, I could tell. It suddenly got very cold and I wanted to pull my duvet up but I was too scared to move. The shadow that was standing in my doorway suddenly started moving towards me. It came and sat on the end of my bed and I felt the bed move like someone really was sitting on it. It sat there for about a minute and then left. Every night from then on the spare room door has been closed at night.

Does anybody know why this would have happened? It was very different to the ghosts I usually see.

Daughter's Dream Ghost

Read the article and leave a comment.

We live in a house that is about a hundred and twenty years old. Over the years the house has been extended and altered. My daughter has the oldest bedroom in the house. For several weeks my daughter has had a ghostly dream almost every night.

She dreams of a girl in an old fashioned blue dress trimmed with white lace. On several occasions the girl has tried to strangle our daughter. We suggested she hang a crucifix in her room and the dreams stopped. However when the crucifix was removed the dream girl/ghost returned. She told our daughter she was angry because she had tried to ward her away. Our daughter did not know what the word ward meant until we told her. At this stage our daughter moved to different room.

The ghost dream has followed her, but has been more friendly. She has explained that she is eleven years old and that she is trapped in the house because she can't find her brother. She said she didn't mean to harm her when she strangled her but she had done that to her brother playing. She told our daughter that her old room had been her room. Our daughter told her to follow the light but she said she can't find any. We have arranged for a medium to come to the house in a few days to see if she can help.

In addition to this we have an elderly ghost. Many people have heard the distinctive sound of an elderly person wearing slippers and walking with the aid of a heavy walking frame. This starts at the original front door, which is no longer the front door and ends at the end of the corridor. Our cat refuses to walk at the spot where the footsteps stop, always jumping over this space.

Darkness

In my previous story I mentioned that I have some dreams where I'm not completely sure if it actually was dream. Here is another experience.

Going back 4 or so years ago around the time I have my hair pulling incident see my previous story for that. I remember another time where I remember waking and looking around in my bed room. It was extremely dark except for some reason I could make out the purple on my bed quilt. I could feel a very menacing presence in my room. The room felt so heavy like a black and very dense mass was near my bed room door as if it was waiting for me to wake, I remember feeling really panicked and then it struck.

It was trying to attack me and it was by then on my bed and was trying to shred at my quilt to get me. I could feel its hate and anger, I couldn't scream and when I tried calling out to my mum who's bedroom is next to mine, the loudest I could utter was a whisper. It was taking all my strength it was making itself stronger with my fear feeding it.

I grabbed a glass on my bedside table and threw it at my wall causing a loud bang and then I remember everything stopping, the heaviness gone just like I clicked my fingers and snap it was finished.

The next thing I remember is waking the next morning, I got out of bed and my limbs ached like I did a 4 hour workout, the bedroom felt normal except for a little hint of something. I couldn't stop thinking about what it felt like a dream but so real and I really don't know what happened.

I asked my mum why she didn't come to my room and she said she didn't hear anything. It was a really weird and scary experience, I haven't had anything like that since and I pray I don't have another!
