Black Aggie

When Felix Agnus put up the life-sized shrouded bronze statue of a grieving angel, seated on a pedestal, in the Agnus family plot in the Druid Ridge Cemetery, he had no idea what he had started. The statue was a rather eerie figure by day, frozen in a moment of grief and terrible pain. At night, the figure was almost unbelievably creepy; the shroud over its head obscuring the face until you were up close to it. There was a living air about the grieving angel, as if its arms could really reach out and grab you if you weren't careful.

It didn't take long for rumors to sweep through the town and surrounding countryside. They said that the statue - nicknamed Black Aggie - was haunted by the spirit of a mistreated wife who lay beneath her feet. The statue's eyes would glow red at the stroke of midnight, and any living person who returned the statues gaze would instantly be struck blind. Any pregnant woman who passed through her shadow would miscarry. If you sat on her lap at night, the statue would come to life and crush you to death in her dark embrace. If you spoke Black Aggie's name three times at midnight in front of a dark mirror, the evil angel would appear and pull you down to hell. They also said that spirits of the dead would rise from their graves on dark nights to gather around the statue at night.

People began visiting the cemetery just to see the statue, and it was then that the local fraternity decided to make the statue of Grief part of their initiation rites. "Black Aggie" sitting, where candidates for membership had to spend the night crouched beneath the statue with their backs to the grave of General Agnus, became popular.

One dark night, two fraternity members accompanied new hopeful to the cemetery and watched while he took his place underneath the creepy statue. The clouds had obscured the moon that night, and the whole area surrounding the dark statue was filled with a sense of anger and malice. It felt as if a storm were brewing in that part of the cemetery, and to their chagrin, the two fraternity members noticed that gray shadows seemed to be clustering around the body of the frightened fraternity candidate crouching in front of the statue.

What had been a funny initiation rite suddenly took on an air of danger. One of the fraternity brothers stepped forward in alarm to call out to the initiate. As he did, the statue above the boy stirred ominously. The two fraternity brothers froze in shock as the shrouded head turned toward the new candidate. They saw the gleam of glowing red eyes beneath the concealing hood as the statue's arms reached out toward the cowering boy.

With shouts of alarm, the fraternity brothers leapt forward to rescue the new initiate. But it was too late. The initiate gave one horrified yell, and then his body disappeared into the embrace of the dark angel. The fraternity brothers skidded to a halt as the statue thoughtfully rested its glowing eyes upon them. With gasps of terror, the boys fled from the cemetery before the statue could grab them too.

Hearing the screams, a night watchman hurried to the Agnus plot. To his chagrin, he discovered the body of a young man lying at the foot of the statue. The young man had apparently died of fright.

The disruption caused by the statue grew so acute that the Agnus family finally donated it to the Smithsonian museum in Washington D.C.. The grieving angel sat for many years in storage there, never again to plague the citizens visiting the Druid Hill Park Cemetery.

Black Thing

That is the name of our follower, The Black Thing. It haunts me and my three friends Shaz, Olivia and Tasha. Ever since my first dream, we have been seeing this thing pure black with red gazing eyes. In my dream it killed my mate tasha. Ever since it has followed us around. For example, when me and my three friends go to a school in our area for work experience, every now and then it runs from the front door to the back door. We don't know what it means at all... But my friend, Olivia, is afraid that it is a evil spirit and it is out to hurt her. It is! Last Night it came into her dream and strangled her, it has also done this to me and Shaz but not as serious, she was rushed to the hospital and has to go back next week. Shaz is psychic so she has been telling us what is going to happen in our lives and it doesn't look pretty...

I believe that it is there to help us, guide us through life. Although you can never tell what a black spirit can do! Sometime soon we are all going to use a ouija board so we can find out more! Right now it's watching me brush my hair, and I know it will be watching me forever...

Black Noise

I am CenterCore, and I encourage you to please explore my previous stories before continuing just to give yourself a better understanding of what I've experienced.

A little brief bit of history here, first of all; I just went through a rather tough time in my life and am only just now beginning to cope with it. I'll only say it's affected me greatly.

The other night I experienced something that has effectively given me a whole new look on the supernatural. It is highly connected to my prior experiences and is beginning to give me insight to the fact that I may in fact be visited by my own out-of-body spirit, which is tougher to explain than it is for me to understand. It hit me like a speeding train; this sudden feeling like I was being pushed. Not necessarily "pushed", but something was holding me in place and influencing my movement. I saw the all-too-familiar silhouettes of "Jerry" and "Miguel" in the background, and all the while I heard this pulsating wringing, which just kept increasing in volume. My breathing became shallow, I was sweating profusely, and my vision got all obscured. I don't know how else to describe it other than to say it felt like I was being possessed. Somehow, this dark spirit of mine seems to have been trying to take over my body. Which is understandable; I was in a volatile state, and became more susceptible to "Jerry's" interference. I could see "Jerry" and "Miguel" closing in on me, and I kept muttering, "Stop... Just stop..." but I couldn't speak above a low whisper. My every movement was restrained and tough to make. Even talking became a chore.

I don't remember much after that. I just sort of blacked out eventually and when I came to, the room was dark, and I was breathing very heavily, like trying to catch up as I couldn't breathe at all before.

Very unsettling experience and it's had me a little on edge. I've never quite had that happen before, not like that. Not to where I feel literally "threatened". But that's exactly how I felt that time.

Black Figure Not A Shadow

This is my first time writing about what happened, but my mother and I would like to know what is going on and maybe you could answer a few questions for me. I have read all about shadow people and this is not a shadow person.

It started when I was in elementary school (in the 80's). I lived with my mother and my step father in Fife Washington. My step father was away for work so I decided to get his army cot out and sleep on it in the living room. I had no problem falling asleep but I was woken in the middle of the night by things being thrown around in my room. The curious person I am I went to check it out. When I got to the door of my room my closet opened up and a very black at least seven feet tall (his head was almost to the ceiling) red eyed looked like a man not see through at all (paint a human basketball player with black paint and blood red eyes) started walking towards me. I did not run or scream I just looked until he touched me. At that point I ran to my mother's room and I of course told her there was a monster in my room and she then pulled me in her room and locked the door.

The next night I decided to be strong because I wanted my step dad to be proud of me so I slept in my room. My room had a bathroom in it and I had my mom keep the light on for me so I wouldn't be so scared it turns out that light does not matter but this time it was different. What came to me that night looked like a king and stood in my door way with a sword. I was completely terrified and had no way out of my room so I very quickly learned the alphabet backwards and fell asleep.

On the very next day I was approached by about seven kids my age I have never seen before. They asked me if I could come and play I asked my mom and she said I could go with them. So we went to a woman named Mary's house and we played but while we were there she got very ill. This is where it gets strange as I was helping Mary I looked around and I was the only one there.

My mother talks to me about it and admits the reason she locked the door is because she seen the black red eyed thing also and to this day she still does. My grandmother told me that my mother carries demons with her they follow her but we are more worried because my two girls are seeing this creature now.

My oldest has seen it in my room watching me sleep. My youngest sees it in the hallway by my room.

It is as solid as a human is, Black as paint with red eyes, very tall. Is not afraid of you it will not run from you.

Please help me figure out what this is I have had so many more things happen to me but I don't want my children to suffer from this.
