Haunted All My Life

We'll where do I start off? We'll everything pretty much started when I was about 6 years old. I have always seen and experienced ghosts or demons, I really don't know why things just happen to me without me really doing anything. I remember this one time I was at my house and after my aunt had passed away about 2 weeks after that I always heard footsteps going up and down my hallway, and this was weird because my aunt used to walk our hallway all the time with her walker before she died and after she passed on that's all I heard.

One night me and my sister were in our room, we always left the door a little open so we wouldn't make too much noise when we got up at night. One night about 2 a.m. We saw a black figure in our hallway and it just passed by our door and fled the other way and after that we saw a white beam of light that followed, I'm not sure if it was good vs. Evil but it creeped us out.

A lot of stuff happened in that house that was unexplainable at the time like when my mom woke up because my dad was screaming in his sleep and she literally saw something black on top of him, and my dad was actually fighting this black entity... Soon after this happened my mom had found out that when my father went to jail he gave his soul to the devil because he wanted protection, and he didn't want to die, and that explained why most things only happened when my dad was around. One time I was in the living room with my dad and we were watching TV. It was raining outside and when I had the sudden urge to look out and look at the rain and when I looked out and I saw this man that looked like my dad but he had the darkest eyes I have ever seen and he had this creepy smile to him and he was just looking out to the street. I think he felt me looking at him as he looked back at me and started coming closer to the window tilting his head as if he was trying to recognize me, as soon as I turned to tell my dad I looked back out and that dark mysterious guy was gone?...

The hauntings stopped for a while but after that they started again when I was 11 years old, It started in our new house that we had just moved into and since day one that we moved in there I had this weird feeling about the house and I could never sleep. I would always wake up at 3:10 a.m. And start hearing these weird noises in the hallway. I would open the door and nothing was there, so I would walk around the house and feel like something was following me in the darkness behind me so I would rush back in my room and close the door.

For 2 years the same thing would happen every night and I would hear scary voices, and the posters on my wall would change into these very scary faces, and my closet door would open by itself and I would feel this very scary presence in my room the whole time... It got really bad to the point where I almost stabbed my sister, and the crazy part is I could see myself almost stabbing her as if I was out of my body, and I had no control over my body... IM NOT EVEN JOKING... So I ended up running out of my house and I swear once I ran out of my house I felt free as if nothing could control me anymore... But once I got back into my room I would spend most of my time in my room laying on the floor in the center of the room dazing off and looking at the ceiling as if I wasn't there the whole time, I don't even remember being there sometimes, and at night I would never sleep and always feel as if someone was crawling on my bed and laying down right by my side. The crazy thing is when we moved out my mom cleaned out my closet and found a Ouija board in a hidden spot in my closet and found tarot cards in the heater as well maybe that's why things are following me I'm still trying to find the answer.

Till this day I always have felt as if things were following me but I don't know why or how to get rid of them... Even though sometimes I wish I knew what was going on. I still feel things like people staring at me while I sleep, I also hear random knocking on my window when nobody is out there, and I feel like something grabs me and I get random chills, and have bizarre dreams of people I've never met I don't understand what is going on, but sometimes my dreams end up coming true.

Family Of Sensitives Or Are We All Haunted?

I wanted to share with you some experiences we are having at our home and actually have had for a number of years. I have to say I am a little hesitant to talk about this for many reasons but lately we have seen an increase in activity and I am not sure why.

We live in a normal suburban home built in the early 80s (I think). I do know the previous owner of the house met an untimely end in a car accident with a drunk driver a few miles from the house. I also know the following occupant lived there many years but is also now deceased (not related to the house as far as I can tell).

I moved into the house in May of 2007 and almost immediately began to experience a few small unexplainable things. My son is very sensitive and he saw someone several times in the kitchen area, I personally heard someone talking (unintelligible) when I was in the kitchen and he was in the living room but it sounded like a female voice. This was two years ago. Since then the activity has been fairly sporadic... Increasing from time to time - subsiding in others. Mostly we have experienced odd noises - voices, a repentant "swooshing" sound like material being moved about, both my son and I have seen a woman in the kitchen/laundry area, the sound of the front door opening and closing at all hours of the day and night (but the door does NOT actually open, it just sounds like it does) . My dogs also hear these things and look toward the apparent source of the noise.

Lately in the last six months the activity has increased. It seems primarily centered around my 21 year old son and 15 year old daughter. Items disappearing and reappearing, the swooshing noise, the sound of a car driving through the rain - except it is INSIDE THE HOUSE - and we haven't had any rain in over a year. Now not only do we get the door opening sound, but also the phone is ringing - ok actually the phone doesn't register a missed call, but the three of us have HEARD the phone ring - it stops before you get there. My son has had his hair pulled so hard it bruised his scalp. My youngest daughter (12) has been awakened by someone tugging on her foot. My dogs have days where they go nuts... Very nervous barking at nothing all day and night.

Last night around 4am my dog started barking, a very agitated and angry bark. This went on for about 2 minutes. As I got up to see what was going on I was putting on a robe and I heard the front door slam shut. I went to the door and as I walked toward it - I heard the sound of someone vigorously sweeping. I couldn't tell if it was inside or just outside the door. The door was locked as it should have been. I opened it - still heard the sweeping noise but - there was no explanation of where it came from. I went outside onto the front step (the sweeping was either just inside or just outside the door but in that area) - and the door slammed shut on me. It wasn't locked and I was able to go back inside but as soon as the door shut - the sweeping noise stopped. I never made it back to sleep.

Okay believe it or not with the exception of the hair pulling and foot tugging I could probably actually live with all of this - except, well here is where the story gets complicated.

This is not the first house where we have had issues. When my son was 6 and my daughter was an infant we lived in Germany. At that time I was fairly agnostic toward the paranormal... I wasn't sure if I believed or not. After living there I was convinced. I have never felt or seen or heard anything that strong in my life. There was a female and male entity in that house that not only we saw /experienced...people from outside of our family saw and heard the same things. We actually had some negative altercations with those entities and we ended up moving out of the house because of it. Both of my older children experienced phenomenon in that house.

Now this is what has provoked me to write to you. My kids have not spoken with each other about their experiences. But the older two have both come to me within the last month and told me that they believe the ghost is not attached to the house but attached to them personally because they have experienced these issues at different houses. Also they have both mentioned they felt it was both a male and female entity. I was talking about this to my mother and she brought up some things I didn't remember - when I was a child and a young adult I experienced similar things. Items moving, lost and found items, an entity touching my mother, inanimate objects moving (yes we could visually see them) and I was able as a child to look at it and say "stop that" and it stopped. I also know my father was able to see spirits and that he and I were oddly linked by - dreams and emotions but then that is another story.

Now - I don't want the world to know these things; I know people will say/think we are a family of freaks. I am pretty comfortable with "other than worldly" influences in my life so I am not asking for an exorcism and anything like that. I think I really would just like to understand better. Actually I just want to know if there is something that follows us around, or if we are just collectively sensitive to the things that are around everywhere in the world. I am curious about similarities in experiences between myself and my children and between different locations. (missing/reappearing items, sound of water, female voice) etc. And why sometimes the experiences are strong and frequent and other times are not so much.

Am I Haunted?

I'd like to share the strangest of the strange moments I've had here but first I need to explain this: I live in a 3rd story apartment building on the 1st floor. Before this became an apartment building, I believe the first floor was a laundromat and a store back in the day. Half was the laundromat, half was the store.

Back in '03 I had a pet rabbit named Alaska (RIP, buddy, I miss you). Due to the rules the landlord had set, he had to be kept in the basement. My grandfather built him a cute little house-looking thing for him to be kept in. One night I went downstairs to feed him. Keep in mind I've ALWAYS thought the basement was eerie. As I was was facing his cage and putting the bowl of water inside, a big shadow appeared behind me, as if a big, tall man were standing behind me. I turned around and nobody was there, but I got the distinct feeling that I was being watched. I basically dropped the water bowl and ran upstairs yelling for my mom. Ever since then I can't go down there alone.

Last year, my mom was doing the dishes in the kitchen. We don't have a dishwasher, so she would set the dishes in the plastic dish dryer next to the sink. We talked for a moment and I left the room for a second. When I came back my mom exclaimed, "Did you do that?!" I said "Huh?" and she pointed to where the wet dishes were drying. There was a glass placed perfectly straight and standing up on top of all the dishes. It wasn't there when I left the room and I was only gone for about 3 seconds. Not to mention the glass wasn't even wet...

My room has to be the room I feel most creeped out in. Once I was trying to get to sleep, and I sleep with the lights off. All of sudden I felt the urge to leave the room, almost like a gut feeling, but I couldn't get out of my bed, I was too scared. The feeling of someone peering at me was so intense, I was physically afraid to move or breathe. I opened my blinds to let the street light in (my lamp is across the room), thinking the light would help me feel better to move. That did nothing. I must have sat there on my bed for about fifteen minutes before I leapt out of my bed and out my room. I didn't sleep in there that night. I've never felt anything so intense!

Another time, I couldn't sleep. Literally. It was almost as if someone was trying to physically keep me awake. Every time I closed my eyes and almost drifted off to sleep my eyes would snap open in terror. It's like I was scared to sleep, like someone wouldn't let me. I finally fell asleep around five thirty in the morning.

Then there's all the little things, like seeing things in the corner of my eye, hearing doors open or close when I'm home alone, the feeling of being watched. Once when my sister wasn't home (we share a room) I heard someone breathing from her bed and heard the sheets rustle. Last week, I felt someone poking me in the shoulder when I was alone in my room. Over Christmas break, I had sleep paralysis three times. Sometimes (actually... quite often) I'll be looking at something and I'll see one or more contorted, angry faces.

I realize that when one is looking for something to happen, or creeps themselves out, they can make things happen or imagine it. These are the moments in which I know nothing was imagined, so I wanted to share them and get your opinions. Thanks so much.
