This is a short story not mine but my niece's.

My Dad passed away from cancer 17 years ago, Dad and my niece Clare were very close (Dad and Clare have a special bond as Clare was the youngest grandchild). When my Dad passed away Clare was 7 years of age. Clare wrote a poem about Dad, she drew a love heart and wrote inside, I won't say the whole poem as it long, but the last sentence said,

"Grandpa I hope you are somewhere"

Present day.

Clare was with her friend Rachel (Rachel can see, feel and hear spirits) Rachel said "oh my God Clare I think your Grandpa is here". My niece said ' I don't believe you" my Dad (remember he has died) said To Rachel 'you tell her this' He recited that poem word for word, and said ' TELL Clare that I am somewhere".

When my niece told me I knew in my heart is was my Dad letting us all know that he is at peace and that he is somewhere...

A few years on mum moved I could not throw that poem out, took it home and put it in my cupboard. When Clare and I were talking about her experience she told me that Dad also said 'its not thrown out but in a cupboard' I said to my niece' my god THE poem is here'.

Thanks for reading this. I really believe my Dad is still with us even though we can't see him...
