Unexplainable Crash

People may say that those who believe in ghost's are crazy, but I for one know that they do exist. I believe that there is a ghost in my own bedroom. Recently I had a long mirror placed on my wardrobe and since then I have been having trouble sleeping. This didn't bother me too much but it was last night that has really troubled me.

Yet again I was having trouble sleeping and I kept imagining someone in my room as if I wasn't alone. I could hear unexplainable noises. Eventually I had fallen asleep. Suddenly I was woken up by a loud crash. It was 3am. I felt a strange chill and I felt goose bumps all over me. I grabbed my phone to use as a light because I was afraid to reach over to my lamp.

There sitting on my bedroom floor was the mirror, it had been fine for agers and was put up strongly making it impossible for it to have fallen. It had smashed into many pieces, but what really got me worried was where it had landed. It had landed across the room facing a completely different direction. It looked as if it had been ripped from the wardrobe and thrown across my room.

I have a friend who strongly believes in ghosts and the type of forces they have and I straight away thought of her and what she's told me about ghosts. She's seen them and has told me they have often appeared in her bedroom. I'm just waiting for tonight for something to happen again. I don't think the ghost means much harm, the mirror wasn't thrown in my direction but I hope I can learn more about this and experience more of these kinds of things.

Two Little Boys

Have you ever been in a relationship, you knew was doomed before the first kiss. Well this is where my story starts, as I believe there may be a correlation between what happened back yonder and this experience... When I was 23 years old doing the pub and club gig with my four piece band, One night after a heavy session of rock & roll and one or two many jack Daniels, I met a girl who let's say had unfortunate circumstances to her own life.

After a short while of dating, she revealed a couple of inner secrets to me, which were a little stronger to swallow than the one or two many jack Daniels. She had associates in the underworld, a former stripper and ex prostitute; she also had a drug habit... But in fairness to her confession, she was trying to clean her act up and was looking for a fresh start. For that reason I persisted with the relationship, but soon after realized it was just not going to work out, I'll leave that there.

A week or two after we split, she told me she was pregnant, for our own personal reasons we decided to have an abortion. It is a tough decision, I hold a different opinion now and I most certainly don't want to paint her as the villain. It takes two to tango and you learn from your own mistakes. I'm trying to be honest in giving you the full picture; bear in mind my wife will read this story for the first time and will feel some disappointment no doubt.

One night some years ago lying in bed with the light off, I rolled over to my side, the closet door was open. Inside I could see an apparition of a young boy about 10 years old, just sitting in there, closer to the back of it. With his knees bent and his arms around them, his hair was jet black... I had no idea who he was... He looked like he was just content sitting there starring at me. I could not make a correlation at this time, to as why or for what reason he was with me?

I saw him often at least three times a week, each time it was the same scenario, just sitting in my closet starring at me, then vanishing out of my view after a short while. At this stage as I have mentioned in my other stories, I was not coping real well with my physic experiences. I was not frightened by this apparition, more in denial and not willing to embrace my ability if you can call it that, which seemed to be manifesting itself at a rate I was not accustomed to. Regrettably I had chosen to ignore what I saw, rather than trying to communicate with him, something now by the way I regret big time. One weekend while I was out of town, my mother who later told me, saw an apparition of a boy walking around in her room. He looked like he was looking for something! When I asked her what he looked like, it was pretty much the same boy as I described before, including the jet black hair.

Now about 16 years ago my wife had a miscarriage, at the time it was upsetting, especially for my wife. But later on that year she had fallen pregnant with our last child Travis, who is the boy I have mentioned shares some of these experiences. One night and this was after I'd changed my bed around, so I was no longer facing the closet. I awoke suddenly, sensing that there was someone there. I looked at the end of my bed and saw a young boy standing there, it was not the same boy I'd seen before, and this boy had light brown hair and appeared a little older perhaps 12 years old. As I looked at him, he raised his finger and was pointing toward the closet. I got out of my bed to walk toward the closet, the door started to close like it was being pulled shut from inside itself. I went back to my bed to turn the lamp on and I have to admit, it was getting a bit creepy at this point. When I turned back around and proceeded to my closet, both boys I presumed had disappeared. As I could not see or feel either boy was in the room, a moment latter.

That was the last time to this day I saw either of those boys, I can't say for sure if they were connected to me in any way and I'd thought long and hard about going into so much detail presenting other possibilities. But I'm interested in what you think; I know there is a time period of difference between the two of them... But who knows how it all works, I am sorry for some of the choices I have made in my life and to those who are offended by them, especially my wife... I am not here to big note my experiences but to better understand them and as I've said before the truth could be in the balance of your reply... One other point worth noting, my ex girlfriend had jet black hair and my wife has light brown?

Trying To Wake Me... Why?

Read the article and leave a comment.

For the past four nights I have had strange encounters with ghosts or sprits. Around 3:00 I have been woken up by what feels like someone shaking me like. It is like when my mum wakes me when I'm late for school. Thinking it is my mum I just turn around and go back to sleep after looking at the clock.

The first two nights it happened I asked mum if she had tried to wake me she said no, even though I knew she would never wake me by shaking me violently. I'm really confused,

The third time this happened I saw a person but being dark all I could see was a shadow, I could make out it wasn't masculine but more like a female body type. When I looked at it, it just sat on my bed before disappearing. It's really strange after waking me violently it just sits and watches me... Why?

Can anyone help me because I don't know if it's a ghost or a sprit or demon or a sign or something and it's worrying me.

I know I'm not dreaming it because I always look at the clock afterwards and find I can't get to sleep. But I don't know if it is a ghost because I heard they can't physically touch you...

Please message me and tell me what it is or if anyone is having the same encounters and if I could stop it some how.

Thanks

Toy In The Closet

My grandmother passed away from heart failure in 1984, 26 years ago. She was an incredible woman with a massive heart and an unbelievable loving nature. She had 14 of her own children and at 50 years old, raised another one from birth, due to the tragic circumstances of that childs parents... One night somewhere in 1982 as I got home from a night out, I found my grandmother in our guest room, she was in some discomfort with chest pains and difficulty breathing, the last thing she wanted to do was wake my dad, as he had an early start for work the next day, typical of my grandma.

In 1972 my grandmother had a heart attack and was brought back to life after dying twice on the surgeons table... 10 years on it was not looking good, after a while at hospital the doctors informed us that her survival chances were not favorable. But one thing she had in her favor, she was a fighter and had plenty of family prayers and support willing her to live.

Later when I'd eventually got to bed, I knew I was going to have a premonition or a direction about the outcome of my grandma Ruby. As I was dreaming that night, I remember flying through this open field, about 15 feet off the ground, it was at this time a lucid dream, driven by my emotions, I was consciously seeking the answers and determined to find what I was looking for (my spirit guide). Stepping up the conscious level of this dream, I lifted my hands looking at the back of them, putting me into a level of super consciousness.

The dynamics of the dream changed significantly, I was no longer flying but standing in an open field, in a full on conscious state. (amazing experience) It is what I call reality projection where your surroundings are created so real that you can literally smell and taste what lays before you, something I strongly feel spirits are able to create in the next dimension... Reality projection is also what I believe is a possible cause that keeps some tortured souls from moving on.

Yelling out where are you over and over, the clouds were black and moving as fast as a train, the wind was howling and the rain was threatening. I knew that my time in this plane with this level of consciousness was limited, this was the only time in my life I was demanding an answer, pushing boundries I probably shouldn't of... The clouds stopped and the sun emerged, from out of nowhere my spirit guide was now standing in front of me. This spirit (guardian) has been with me for a very long time, I can't remember how long. He predicted my mother's fate two years before she'd passed, warned me of her suffering fom lung cancer just before she was diagnosed, (please don't smoke) and has forcast my own death. 77 years old, I will be when I die. (I have a feeling it will be August)

Like most of my experiences with him this meeting was short and to the point, your grandmother will live this time, but the next time they will take her, waking up I felt a weight of relief. I knew she would pull through and I couldn't wait to tell my family... (.fast forward). 1984, 2 years later as I was living with my girlfreind on the central coast the phone rang, it was my dad, with the news my grandmother had died from complications with her heart.

This is the first family member that crossed over, that I had a close relationship with and I was taking it pretty hard. As I was laying in bed thinking about my grandma, I'd remember talking to her one day (in between the final 2 years) about life and death... It finished with my grandmother telling me she'd come back to let me know she's there. Laying in bed that night a short while after the funeral (suddenly) a siren noise from inside a locked cupboard was now screeching away. My girlfriends Parents arrived to our room, (we lived with them a short while) as they were bemused about the siren noise coming from a locked closet that had not been opened in years, about 5 from memory, the room we slept in was also partially used for storage.

After eventually finding the key and opening the cuboard the toy that made the noise was sitting alone, it had been turned on from inside the closet!... When I was a boy many years ago, this one Christmas my dad was out of work, (doing it tough) we were poor enough not to have Christmas presents, but rich enough to have food on our table and we had each other and sometimes that's all you need. Christmas Eve staring out my window across the park, I saw my grandma hop off the bus carrying two bags they were full of christmas presents, there was no way her grandchildren were going without... On that night before you left, knowing the heart you have, it must of been hard for you to see me, a young man alone and crying with the heart of a fragile boy, you'd comforted me many times, over the years gone by, Nan... Thankyou grandma for bringing me one more present, the toy in the closet.

Top Hat And Tails

Read the article and leave a comment.

This happened when I was about 13 or 14 (I am 21 now) in my house in country Victoria, Australia. It is pretty short there isn't much to it.

It was the weekend and I was up one night whilst everyone else had gone to bed. I was watching a movie of Anne Frank on TV. I have always seemed to like to watch TV in the dark, though I rarely do as mum likes the light on. This time the lights where off and I was sitting on the floor, I was restless that night and moved from floor to couch to chair to bean bag every few minutes. Then there was an ad break and I looked behind me and I saw a man walk from the end of my couch a few steps to the front door. Well walk is the only way I figure he moved as I didn't see anything from the hips down.

He was wearing a black top hat, and black tails, with black pants and a white shirt and black suspenders, and he had a cane, black with a silver top, more of a fashion thing then a walking aid. He took a few steps and disappeared, I got up quickly and turned the light on and watched the rest of the movie with the light on.

At first I thought it was an image from Anne Frank I had just seen it in the room, but I realized that the clothes where of a much later period then Anne Frank.

Also, something I didn't find out for years afterward. A week before my father was killed in a work place accident my mum had a dream about him dying and when he went to the job that killed him she had a strong urge to tell him not to go, unfortunately she didn't, and a few weeks after his accident mum was half asleep, mum and dad always slept on there sides, mum was on her side half asleep and she felt the other side of the bed depress and she thought it was me, and then she felt arms around her, basically spooning her, and she thought it was weird so she rolled over and there was no one there.

To my Lost Siblings

Read the article and leave a comment.

I was born on 5th May after a very difficult pregnancy and an even more difficulty labour that nearly caused both, my mother's and my life. Mum still narrates every minute of it, with tears in her eyes, every chance she gets and I know that she still suffers every time she does.

Grandma (when still alive) would wait until the very end of the story to add, "who would have thought you would make it after all you've been through and having lost those two ones the previous year!"

From the moment I was old enough to understand the world around me, I felt very uncomfortable every time I heard about "those ones" but, seeing my mother torn, I didn't dare to ask anything further until I grew a little more and decided to confront both my mum and "nona"

Nona spoke, mum just listened and nodded. "The first time mummy had a baby in her tummy she lost it within a month. The second one, it was a boy. She lost that one when she was 4 months pregnant with it. But now, everything is ok cause you're here..."

"And where are those two?" I would ask to hear,"they are safe in heaven where God is taking care of them for us..."

Needless to say that "heaven" sounded scary to a restless child who refused to understand why we couldn't visit and even scarier as I realized the meaning of death at still a young age.

I would casually ask nona if those who pass on remain as they were in life and she, not thinking anything of it, would go on to reply "yes, of course". Even worse, I would never let on that I was ok with me seeing my brother but how was I supposed to tell her that, since my other sibling was not fully formed, I was terrified in the thought of looking at an embryo. (It might sound funny to me now but not when I was 7 or 8). So I would constantly have this feeling of not sleeping alone in bed but as I grew even older I blamed my childhood drama for it. I still think it was that and nothing else.

Having joined an exchange-student program, at the age of twenty, I find myself studying in Australia at LaTrobe University. I spent most of my free time hanging out with two of my younger cousins, three australian friends (we are still close), and Ghaa (an african girl who claimed to have had powers!) She would often try to get me involved in their seances and I would always avoid it, partly because I doubted her gift and, partly because she made me a little uneasy; besides, I couldn't be absolutely sure she was a fake. Finally, I gave in and joined them one night.

The moment she began explaining the procedure I felt it was a mistake. The woman was talking about unborn spirits not dead relatives of any sort. She was talking about guardian spirits who were called upon for protection but you needed a strong prayer to, first, be protected from the guardian? What was all that? I said I wanted out but since we were in an isolated area and couldn't go anywhere alone, she warned me that if I stayed outside the circle, she couldn't protect me. For all that, I finally stayed.

The seances began with her speaking in african and singing and making weird faces and at that point I began shaking with terror. She served as a medium through which the second spirit spoke and answered questions and every now and then someone would fall in some kind of trance I wouldn't buy and so I managed to slowly relax since it was too dramatic for my liking!

Then Ghaa would ask someone to leave the circle claiming the spirit had enough and would place that someone in another circle next to ours with some more prayers and such.

I was beginning to get a little impatient because time was passing and they wouldn't finish the "theatrical play" when she suddenly turned to me saying "the spirit now wants you". I knew I could ask a question after the spirit allowed it according to Ghaa and I was absolutely determined, first, to avoid stupid questions such as who's to die next and, second, questions that she would know the answers to, from my cousins.

I asked my "safe" questions such as "which country would be my next stop" or "will I ever return home" but suddenly began to feel unwell; the kind of feeling you get as if you have butterflies in your stomach, the ache in your bones, like you've caught a cold and then a bit of cold sweating. Ghaa's voice was heard like from a distance and I felt distracted by something unknown. A little afterwards, I began feeling better but I had the distinct feeling that something had escaped my attention. I usually get the same feeling when I have had an extra drink and I know I must have said something more than I should have.

When I recovered from what I thought to be a little dizziness, I found my youngest cousin's hand on mine but the seances was in progress in spite of my little incident, and another one was asking the questions.

Finally, the gathering ended with all of us exhausted and me being distressed.

Back home I was continuously asked if I was feeling better and I regained my courage to ask about the events that took place during my questioning. I was sure I had missed something but I wasn't sure what.

Helen, the youngest told me I suddenly looked very upset and said a few times "no, no, stop!" I then supposedly said "I'm on the 5th May, not June or January!"

Now May is the month I was born. I'm also sure June and January are the months my mother had both miscarriages. I don't and have not been able to remember myself saying any of these things, my cousins claim, as I am sure they couldn't have known from my mother.

I still try to think of it as pure coincidence but, just to be on the safe side that was the first and last time I ever participated in any such gatherings. I know that if my siblings are out there, they would have no reason to harm me so, if, I really mean if, this was the spirit talking, I now am sure it's not a benevolent one that I should ever encounter again!

To Believe or Not to Believe

Ever since I was a child, my mother would tell me of our family's experiences with ghosts or run-ins with spirits. My grandpa, for example, have had his fare share of run-ins since he was a child in the Philippines. When he was about 6yrs or 7yrs, he would accompany his father to the local church at 1am in the morning for prayers. (Why they would go at an unearthly hour, I could never understand).

Whilst they were there, his father would explain to him that no matter what he sees or hears, he must not make a sound or be afraid. As they would kneel at one of the pews in church and bow their heads, my grandpa's father would begin his prayers. Not long after, my grandpa would look up at the alter and in the dark he could make out some glow in forms of people appearing out from the wall of the alter and heading down the aisle and out towards the graveyard next to the church. He would hear some whimper sounds, and swooshing as these so called spirits would walk past.

As a child, I was fascinated by these fairytales. These stories that my mother would tell me, I would just pass them off as bedtime stories. My mother has also had her own experiences in a way that she sees the dead. When I say, "sees the dead" I mean literally, she would see the deceased as though they were live people, in their live form. She would see them crying or going about their chores as though they have no idea that they had already passed this living world. Of course, again, I would just pass these stories on as another bedtime story. I mean, c'mon, what child would boast that their family history has ways of communicating with spirits?

As I grew older, the stories became a part of my growing up and I didn't think twice about them... Until my first encounter...

I remember back in 1993, I had just moved into a unit with my boyfriend, and at that time, he was a hard worker and worked day shift, then come home to eat dinner and shoot off to study at TAFE College until 9pm or 10pm. On this one particular day, around 2pm, I felt tired and thought to have an afternoon nap before my boyfriend would come home at 3pm to eat and go off to classes. So I laid down on our bed, and, you know that state when you're resting but your mind is still conscious to your surroundings? Well, I was in that state, when I felt someone lay down next to me on the bed and lean against my back. So, here we were, back to back and all the while, I was thinking it was my boyfriend.

Unusual though, my boyfriend usually kisses me on the cheek and hug me, so feeling more conscious now, I opened my eyes and turned round to hug my boyfriend only to find nothing, and no one on the bed, but me, yet I felt as though there had been a presence there. It freaked me out but nothing else happened since that moment...

We moved from that unit after a year, and now my boyfriend has become my faithful husband and we have children of own. We just celebrated 14yrs of married bliss and I still get experiences that just cannot be explained.

The most recent, it was about 7am in the morning and the house was quiet and we were all still in bed, of course I had to get up to pee, walking into the hall way I glanced up and could see our TV in the lounge from where I was standing and saw a girl with long straight, black hair sitting in a chair right in front of the TV. Thinking it was my eldest girl, I thought it odd that she would be sitting in front of the TV with it off. So I glanced up into the lounge again and the girl was gone. I was standing right next to the girl's bedroom door and opened it only to find my eldest daughter still in her bed, fast asleep.

Again, thinking I was going crazy, I quickly went to the loo to do my business, then went back to the bedroom to wake up hubby and tell him what happened. In his sleepy state, he just murmured, "Perhaps they want to contact you for some reason!" then rolled over and slept some more... This story is just part of what happens in my life, and still I am unable to understand why it happens or what is it that these spirits want from me.

Although, it happens, I keep thinking I'm going crazy or I've lost my mind, but then when I tell closest friends about these experiences, they would either say, it's kool or be repulsed by the idea of me seeing the dead. Perhaps, some other readers might have had same or similar experiences as I have had and can shed some light as to how I can deal with them.

I have only had one experience where I've felt a very bad presence around, if you want to know about it, by all means, drop me a line and ask about it. I feel I'm trapped between sanity and insane... To believe or not to believe... What path do I take? Or should I take?

They Won't Let Me Sleep

I've been having experiences with the paranormal since I was about 12 or 13, I'm 21 now. As a teenager a few friends and I used to conduct séances and do things to scares ourselves, many things happened to us in these times and we eventually understood we didn't know what we were doing, so we stopped playing about with the unknown.

When I was about 16 we moved into a very old house where my uncle used to live. I still remember those three or four days after we had moved in. I was home alone and I could hear a power point flicking in the room next door. I knew it was a spirit but I didn't feel threatened...

But as the years passed I noticed there was more than one spirit in the house. One minute I would feel completely relaxed around one spirit, the next minute I would get the creeps. This is how I came to the conclusion there was more than one...

Many friends that have come to my house have commented on feeling like they were being watched. One actually said that they felt it was an old man, which is funny because I felt there was an old man there too.

I don't live inside the actual house but in a bungalow out in the back yard. Two or three years ago I started to notice a presence in my room, like I was constantly being watched from one particular spot, and there would also be cracking noises. I did feel like I wasn't wanted out there and it did give me the creeps. About eighteen months ago I had this bizarre experience where I thought I was dreaming; a lady with an angry look on her face walked towards me and slapped me. I woke up holding my face. I've always wondered whether I was in a semi sleep state and did this actually happened for real...?

Things have been going missing, my TV remote has never been found even after I turned my room upside down looking for it. Water droplets have fallen on me from nowhere... A few years ago I had real problems with sleep walking.

In the last year things have been getting crazy out there. I get the feeling this spirit doesn't want me sleeping, because whenever I get to that stage when I'm about to drift into a deep sleep, I hear a loud thud or a crack or something falls over. I've also been waking up with bruises on my knuckles...

I've been at breaking point in the last two weeks, it seems this spirit has got very angry with me, I don't know why. I've been hearing footsteps circling my bed, strings being plucked on my guitar, the window blinds moving, and loud thuds against the walls.

It has scared me so much I slept inside one night, and then I got worried I'd given it the upper hand. So the next night I went back out and everything was fine. But the next night things started up again.

I sat up in my bed and said out loud "Do you want to start do ya?" the second I said that a poster ripped off the wall and stuff flew out from under my bed. I slept inside again that night.

Two nights ago I decided to smudge. The night I smudged I removed surfboards and stuff from the corner I felt I was being watched, where the spirit stood. Everything was fine that night. Last night, the night after smudging, I was paid a visit yet again. It was early in the night, only around 8:30pm I went to bed. There was tapping on the windows, footsteps like someone running, and it sounded like something was being thrown from wall to wall. I went and slept inside again.

Things do happen inside, they just don't scare me as much and I don't feel as if they're after me in there, well I did think that.

Last night when I was sleeping on my mum's bed I woke up to the feeling that something was hovering above my face, then it was gone. I also woke up twice being shaken... I've also experienced this in my room.

I don't know what to do. I've asked them to leave, I've smudged, and I've laid out salt around my windows... What else? I feel like I'm helpless and no one else can help me neither.

And the thing that scares me as well is that I'm moving house in a few weeks and I'm scared it's going to follow me, and I will be living alone.

Please help guys!

My old high school had a pack of ghosts. I'll tell you about my experience with one of them. I held off telling this one for good reason. The evidence is fairly flimsy and not the kind of thing I like to call proof but it's an interesting story so I hope you like it.

As I said our school was very old. It is the school which is in the famous Australian legend of Picnic at Hanging Rock which some people may know about. It has several known hauntings. Since I had only a single experience with one I might as well briefly tell you about the other ones; they're worth it, I think.

One was a White Lady who was known to be seen wandering on the croquet lawn late at night. The principal saw her several times and he was a credible man. Above the lawn is the Tower. The legend is that she was a school girl who cast herself to her death after being impregnated by the stable boy. I don't know if the story has any truth to it. Our soccer oval had the coach house on it originally. 3 graves were found there when the oval was being shaped. There have been reports of the sound of horses and voices down there at night.

My own experience was with the third. My drama teacher called her Penthesilea; a name coined from a line of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night in which Sir Toby Belch bids Penthesilea goodnight. Our drama teacher developed a ritual of saying good night to her. The drama office was in an annexe overlooking the theatre. It's less of a theatre, more of a hall set up for dramatic studies. The previous drama head working late would hear crying from the back stage area and investigate only to find nothing and the crying would cease until she left the area then it would continue. The current teacher, my teacher for 3 years only once saw her after making the mistake of turning off the lights from his office before getting to the outer door of the hall; something he never did for fear of seeing her. He didn't really like to talk about it. Now, onto my own experience.

We were putting on a play which required a large amount of weekend rehearsal for me because I had a main role. This would have been in 2004 and I would have been 17 going on 18. There were four of us in the building on a gloomy Saturday. It was cold; the school is on a mountain in the bush in an area which often gets snowed on in winter which is unusual for Australia. The character I played was one of three mains who occupied the stage area. One particular scene I was not in and since we were quite a way into the rehearsal process, I was occupying the area where I was supposed to be during the real show rather than sneaking off front stage for a coffee and a biscuit. The area was a small unlit costume room off side of the stage. It was used for storage of the usual junk which you would usually find floating around a theatre. I put a stool in there and sat waiting to come on. The other actors were blocking fairly vigorously and were taking a long time and I was sitting alone in the dark in the dingy costume room. I have to admit, I dozed off for a minute as the whole process was quite stressful and tiring. I think it was this relaxation on my part which drew her out.

I awoke sharply because the room had gotten overwhelmingly cold. As I previously mentioned it was a freezing day but inside it was temperate. In the tiny room I was sitting, the temperature plummeted. Immediately I felt really uneasy but didn't immediately think anything of it. Then all of a sudden I knew she was there. It was an unbelievably strange experience. I was definitely awake, facing the door and just felt her in the top right corner of the room behind me. I knew it was a female and I knew her presence was up in an unreachable area of the room but for some reason it felt so sensible for a moment or two before I was overwhelmed, jumped up and ran from the room without looking back. That was the first time I felt her presence in that room. During one of the actual performances of the show I felt like I wasn't alone back there.

I don't like to talk about "feeling" things. I'm not sensitive to anything especially not feelings. I have never felt anything like this before or since. I feel that the spirit was in fact merely curious. There was absolutely no hostility. I was hesitant about sharing the story because I didn't actually see anything with my eyes but at the same time I just knew she was there with me. The only real evidence I have was the overwhelming coldness which occurred suddenly and a cold spot is not exactly proof. There was enough evidence of experiences in the building to warrant me believing it without thinking that I'm crazy or that the whole thing was imaginary. It was the closest I have had to a conclusive experience so I wanted to share it. The place is a wonderful historical area and has many great stories associated with it so it felt appropriate to tell it.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it.

When I was young we used to live near a graveyard. We were separated from it by a dip which had a main road, and we were just next to an intersection. I can't say anything supernatural happened there, more like bad luck. A man, my father who was with friends crashed right on that intersection on his motorbike. As people stopped to go help him, the man jumped up and started trying to claw at the dirt walls enclosing the sides of the road. As the onlookers watched trying to help and figure out what was wrong, they saw him start to burn with opaque flames. Somehow he'd gotten petrol inside his jacket and he burnt to death from the inside out. I'm not sure if the white cross at that intersection is still there, although now they've shut the intersection off. We moved soon after that.

Our next house was a nice place in a valley, semi-rural and looked like it had once been a farm with horse paddocks, old stables and a big shed. We had to live in the little cottage just next to the main house for some time until the previous owners moved out. The cottage was disgusting and hadn't been used for decades, we found the skin of a giant carpet python (who eluded us for years until we found it at the top of the toilet in the farm shed and called the local reptile removal group. The guy took one look and said "I think I'll need a bigger bag".) When we finally moved into the main house, we rented the cottage out to a nice couple we knew for a while. They'd lost a baby and had buried her in the cemetery we used to live opposite to. It was during this brief time that we found out a man had been creeping into our back garden for several times a week at night. Eventually the police tracked him down and found he had been using our garden to hide in to be able to stalk the woman of the couple.

It was after the renovations we began later that the slightly strange things started to happen. We hadn't quite realised how old the house was until we found a window within the inside walls of the bathroom. We guessed that perhaps the foundations of the house had been laid down at least since the early 1900s. Now, my new room was annoying. On top of the fact that my mum had decided I would have no privacy and got French doors installed in my room so you could see through the wide hallway and into the living room. The wide hallway didn't go very far, it just went to a dead end because my parents wanted to eventually build a second level and install some stairs there. My room was the coldest in the house. However, being in a valley it used to get very chilly, but my mother would always marvel at how my room would never heat up. I felt it had something to do with the "cold spot". If you sat on my bed, which faced the doorway, the area was in the upper right-hand corner. I found it weird because of all the spots to creep me out (except for my current house) I have always, always, had the room with the ceiling hole right above my bed. This corner, however, always felt to me as though there was a spider in its web watching me. It was unnerving.

Our place also came with a windmill. It stood in the front yard serving very little purpose except to make a horrible 'clack, clack, clack' sound all the time. My father was annoyed by it too so he got some rope and tied it up tightly. It never made a sound that is in the day at least. It was only during late night that you would hear it start to go 'clack, clack, clack' again even when there was no wind blowing.

One night I was up reading a book. Then something made me look up to the doors that let me see out to the hallway. I wasn't sure for a few seconds because nothing happened and then a woman ran past, dressed up in some Victorian get-up. She was followed by a man in mining gear. They both seemed to be laughing. I blinked my eyes wondering what just happened. I still don't know. But it wasn't until after that I got my mum to place some curtains over the glass. I hadn't realised until just now, but after the curtains were placed there I never actually did anything but sleep in my room then. I always played out in the other rooms of the house, perhaps because the "cold spot" made the room feel more confining than ever.

I also never really went near the windmill. I can't ever really remember touching it. So it also wasn't until a few years later I found a little plaque on the windmill saying that it hadn't actually been built on our property. It used to belong to a mining company out west and had been moved onto our property later on.

I'm still not sure about that house to this day. I'm relatively down-to-earth with explanations about strange events. I had even chalked up the scrabbling in the ceiling and walls to rats or possums playing with the rat poison pellets we put up there. The people I saw ran past were my imagination most probably. But, really I'm not sure. I've moved house around seven times in my life and definitely never had anything like that happen to me like at that house.

The White Eyes And Growling

This is not necessarily an interesting story but I do not know what I am dealing with, and to be honest it is scaring me. I have had experiences recently with what I might call intense poltergeist activity I am unsure however to what is exactly causing problems. But it is has got me sitting on pins and needles all the time. And as I cannot ignore what is happening any longer I am posting this as a story, first I will start with the beginning events. I have heard and seen doors opening by themselves. At first I thought it may be the wind creating a vacuum as it gushed passed the windows which would in turn pull the doors open. But after hearing the door to my mum's room open itself recently I am now unsure (I could tell because it is an old door handle and makes a grinding noise when the handle is turned) I walked up the hall to confirm my suspicion and sure enough the door was wide open. I had walked past it minutes before and it was closed. My sister and I were the only ones home at the time and she heard it as well when we were both in the lounge room at the other end of the hall. I have also seen my bedroom door swing openly violently usually as I walk up to it to enter my room. It only concerned me recently when I saw that this still happened if I shut all the doors and windows in the house! Even as I type this story I can see the front door to the house (which enters onto the lounge room) moving back and forth irregularly but about two feet each way. And it only moves if I am looking at it. Even earlier tonight our beautiful cat Ringo was let inside. He is placid, friendly and playful and usually sits next to me on the lounge when inside. But he would not go much further than the front door when let inside tonight. I did not take it seriously so I went into the kitchen to check tea (dinner) was not burning and he came running past me as if a dog was chasing him. He ran straight into the corner of the sunroom next to the kitchen and had himself in the corner. Clearly distressed with his ears down and eyes wide open, I scooped him up and he jumped out of my arms as soon as I opened the front door.

I have also seen moving shadows sometimes against the wall, but mostly as "something" that walks past my bedroom door when it is closed at night. (We leave the hall night on at night). The first time I saw it I was on my bed reading, and as I became bored with the textbook I was trying to get through I looked towards the door and saw a shadow go past. I saw it as it passed the door, through the gap underneath the door. Unfortunately I could not find a "logical" explanation. No one had walked passed my door and there were no pets in the house anywhere. Not that long ago I was trying to get to sleep and I saw a crisp full silhouette of someone who looked like a tall man against the wall at the end of my bed. The shadow caught my attention when I could see it moving around. I have also heard scratching (not the sort to come from rats) but similar as if someone ran their nails down a chalkboard. The walls in our house are gypsum board (similar texture to a blackboard), so this really freaked me out. Stuff also goes missing all the time, if I leave something on my desk for instance it nearly always goes missing. And I end up finding it in some strange area, like behind another piece of furniture. This has happened to everyone else in our house as well. My sister's stuff goes missing all the time. One example being she left a toy tamagochi (a sort of virtual pet) on her dressing table recently and when she woke up to go play with it, It was gone . She never found it. Also my mum recently bought a few groceries after she finished work (tomatoes, tomato sauce, cheese, lollies etc) a few weeks ago, and instead of putting the stuff away immediately (as per usual) she left it on the kitchen floor and went to have a nap as she was exhausted and needed to get rid of a migraine. I came home later that day at around the same time as my sister finished school. And some time after that my mum asked me where I put the tomato sauce (assuming I put the groceries away) all I could tell her is that I did not know what she was talking about. My sister also knew nothing about these phantom groceries and after a while of looking (with some yelling and expletives) she gave up. She found these groceries rotting behind a blanket box in her room a fortnight later. She is still stumped to how they got from the kitchen to behind a piece of furniture in her room without anyone moving them and when she was the only one home.

I always feel something is watching me when I get home especially if I am alone. I have had a singular hand grasp my arm at about 2:30 in the morning. This has happened before and the" hand" often seems to go past my arm and touches my waist. As it simply goes past (or through) my arm, I have also heard deep breathing next to me as I try to go to sleep. (This often happens) I became concerned when my sister said recently that this has been happening to her except it has been grasping her wrist and she says it slapped her once. I have also felt something touch me around the neck and also strangely my foot and wrists have felt like someone is grabbing them. Also I occasionally hear what sounds like something heavy being dragged across the floor of my room at night. It is a persistent noise goes on for over half an hour every time. I also saw a piece of paper with a paper weight on it recently slide across the floor of my room as I walked back in there to get something. It was on my desk before. I have also heard what sounds like more than one person (2 to 3) running down the hall of our house at night. I have come out of my room to check out what was going on and immediately noticed no one was there and the lights were still off.

This is when I became scared. An Important person in our family died nearly a year ago from now and I simply assumed these events were from him (well some of them anyway). However my sister said that this stuff was happening to her at least a year before this person died and I have been quite concerned after learning of this information. (I just wished my sister had told me or at least someone this before). She has also experienced banging against the windows and walls which has happened to her a lot. This seems to happen when she is alone or out of my eyesight. (This happened again the other day and tonight, she walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water, and as she left my sight I heard very loud thumping on the sun room windows (This is a room that used to be a veranda and has now been enclosed with windows, It is next to the kitchen). Our house is elevated of the ground so no one outside could have done this. And it was night time so a bird could not have flown into the window. And it was not windy so nothing could have pushed branches from a tree outside against the windows. And most importantly it sounded like someone was doing it rather than anything I mentioned in the sentences above.

I have also seen a table in the same room of our house shake. This happened a bit over a year ago (again before this family member died). I called my Dad to have a look at it and he dismissed as movement from walking in the house. Now I am not so sure (It seemed to move regardless of whether anyone was moving or not to me). It was shaking just like a person was shaking it. When I sit down it sometimes feels like someone is shaking the chair or lounge I am sitting on. I have also had stuff that I would describe as being thrown at me in the kitchen. The last time this has happened for example, I was in front of the sink washing up, when a brush from a dustpan and brush set was "thrown" at me from thin air. It did not hit me but it did strike the exposed side of the sink with a large bang. I ignored it by not reacting to what happened in an obvious way. But all I could think about was the force it was thrown. A similar event happened when I was peeling potatoes recently at the sink and it felt like someone was touching my hair, I kept turning around fully expecting someone to be behind me. I was then shocked when a muffin tin I had leant against the dish stacker looked like it was briefly picked up and thrown back to where I put it resulting in another loud bang. I also noticed when I turned around the door to my room was closed and the light was off as I left it before going into the Kitchen. After the muffin tin was "thrown" the door to my room was open and the light was on. I was home by myself at the time. Also a few months ago I woke up in the morning and when I left my room to enter the kitchen across from my room. I realised pretty much everything left on the kitchen counter and table was scattered all over the floor. Everything was everywhere and the kitchen was a complete mess. No one knew anything about it. This has demonstrated the strength of what I am dealing with. I have also had occasional nightmares where I am in the kitchen and random objects are thrown at me. (Yes objects usually seem to fly at me only in the kitchen)

I cannot think of any reason such an entity would be inside our house. I have not been using Ouija board for example. The only thing I can think of is that I have been watching ghost videos on YouTube lately (this is me trying to research what is harassing me) and about a fortnight ago. I was in the lounge room at night when I turned to look at the window besides me. And it looked like a face was behind me when I looked at the glass. Its face was pale khaki coloured and featureless but had the general structure and shape of a human face. Perhaps the entity got a few ideas to entertain itself. The TV in the lounge room sometimes turns itself off and a while ago we had just bought a new TV (now since gone) and when I turned it on to use the second time it did not work and I had to quickly unplug it as it had caught on fire. I had to smother it with clothes. It ended up being taken to the tip (dump) sometime afterwards. I can also remember nearly two years ago It was past midnight and I went to the kitchen to get a glass of milk and I noticed all four elements (or hobs as some people call them) on the stove were on. I turned them off and complained about it the next day. And yes no one knew anything about it. This has happened several times since then.

There was one time I was in the lounge room and I heard a large crack and heard the smoke alarm go off. I could see the walls of the kitchen glowing red and when I entered the room I saw that there was a "small" fire on top of the stove. I had left a plate covered in paper towels and bacon fat from cooking bacon beforehand on one of the elements when I safely turned the stove off. I then tidied up the kitchen a little and went to sit in the lounge room to do some studying. About 15 minutes later I heard the crack and noticed there was a fire. The element that the plate was sitting on top of had been turned on somehow. I know that I checked that stove was off as I double check all appliances are turned off before I leave the kitchen. I have also heard banging noises that sound like someone is pounding against door frames or struts in the wall. And sounds that are similar to metal objects being clashed together. There has been a few times I was sure I could hear growling sounds, kind of similar to a dog but sort of muffled , outside my bedroom door and one time it was next to me. I cannot be certain but I feel this is what I heard. These sounds always happen in the middle of the night. Another recent event happened during night time a few nights ago. I came out of my room at around 3 am and I saw a pair of gleaming "white" eyes just outside my bedroom door. I was not scared so much as shocked. They were definitely a pair of eyes. As I stood there staring at them (as they stared at me) they faded away after about six seconds and as they did they became a pale blue colour before becoming lowered when they vanished. I knew I could not explain that one away so I realised I needed to do something about what was happening.

I do know that bad and unfortunate events have happened in our house before we moved in so I assume this has something to do with it. There were some negative characters that lived in our house before us. But all I really know is that a woman moved to our house about a month before we lived there and apparently became suddenly depressed. According to our next door neighbour she committed suicide under the house a fortnight after moving there. I found some of the stuff she had written on apparently before she died and I would have to say her mind was in a very dark, sad and a very strange place. I felt very sad and confused just trying to read what she had written down. I did notice weird stuff when we moved in but these events have only become unbearable recently. The events happened immediately after we moved in and also fairly recently which were two difficult times for our family. Which makes me think this is not that woman's angry depressed spirit but something more nasty. Please if anyone is able to give me some information about what I may be dealing with and some information in how to gently get rid of it (or not so gently perhaps) and also if there is a selective way of getting rid of this entity without affecting other spirits that may dwell within the house. This to say something that does not necessarily involve a fully fledged exorcism or something over the top. I would be very grateful to hear any advice though and if anyone has had similar experiences. Please comment if you feel you know anything helpful. Thank you for your time.

The White Blob

My story is to my other story, weird happenings at school. I was at home after school and after waking up from my sleep at about 2-2:30am I sat up on my bed and just stared at the floor. I was just staring like sometimes you randomly do. But it was different, I couldn't stop and I saw lots of flashing lights and heaps of voices. I heard something I think in a different language, sounded a bit like this aka-mun-fulu and some English words like plane, full and whole.

After that I stood up and walked to the toilet, I looked back down the hallway when I entered my room and my dog was staring behind me and growling. I turned around and just as I had fully faced the wall in front of my door I saw a thin oval shaped white light, so light my eyes had to blink. It was obviously gone and I felt really weird.

I managed to get to sleep with nothing else and now I am really puzzled. Well I am thinking this is not a ghost or evil. I had a strong feeling it is an angel believe it or not, I also have a strong feeling that it is my arch angle Michael. I wasn't really scared but shocked to the bone and my heart was about to explode.

I wouldn't mind help with what I have experienced if anyone has any answers. Any help would be appreciated.

Since my last story some weird stuff has been happening to me and my friend Beth... Beth's been seeing "shadow people" and a having weird dreams. The other day when she was home alone playing FARM TOWN on facebook a single blind in the lounge room began tapping on the glass sliding door with all the windows in the vicinity closed, there's no air conditioner and the fan was not on... I to have seen these "shadow people" though not as often as Beth nor to the detail in which she can see as I only see flashes like they're running past yet Beth has seen them walking around her apartment, this may be because she "played" with Ouija more frequently than me, and got contact from a trickster named CATE, who used to be a ballet dancer and enjoys tricking people and hiding things.

The scariest thing that has happened to me since we "played" with Ouija at Trev's was about a month after the fact, it was the night after a BIG night in town we were all worn out from partying the night before but there was another party around the corner that Trev and Joseph went to and Sean and stayed back to catch some Zzzzz. It would have been around 12am when Trev returned from the party, he woke us up so we had a cigarette with him and went back to bed. It would have been around 3am, I was dead to the world in a deep deep sleep cuddled up next to my boyfriend when all of a sudden it was like someone had put their lips right up to my ear so they almost touched my ear and began to whisper really loud and fast, I was startled awake and jumped up looking around for anyone who could have possibly done it. I couldn't make out exactly what is said it was too quick and very loud, at first I thought Joseph had come home because he does this thing where he'll sneak up on you and whisper KISS KISS really fast in your ear, but it couldn't have been him as he was not home from the party yet.

I got up did a quick check of the house to make sure, the whole time I was up I felt like someone was watching yet everyone was asleep or not home as yet. When I laid back down I woke my boyfriend and told him he just mumbled to go back to sleep so I seriously doubt it could have been him plus it was my ear that was facing away from him and towards the front door. I tried going back to sleep but I couldn't because my ear was throbbing like someone just let off an air horn next to it! Could it have been a resident ghost or the one out the front, did he find a way in...

The Weatherboard House

Up until I was the age of 20, I lived in a quaint, weatherboard house in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, with my mother, my father and my twin sister. I think it is also important to note that when my mum was a little girl, she lived in the same house with her mother and two brothers.

The house was like a cottage from the Victorian era. There were rose bushes outside, the inside was furnished with classic furniture and the style of it was very old-timey. It was one of the first houses in the entire suburb.

My first memory of anything supernatural in the house was when my sister came to my mum, complaining of a constant dream she had been having. We were about four at the time. She told my mum that she kept having a dream about a tall man in an old suit and a top hat with a cane, who was spanking her. I had the same dream. We were told, when we were older, that her youngest brother had the same dream in that house, and we discovered from a neighbour that, a man and his wife had lived there a while back. The man absolutely hated children. He had killed his wife, and then himself, in the house.

As we got older, my sister and I moved into the front bedroom, the biggest room in the house. It had a large bay window across the front, and a small window on the left side of the room. I distinctly remember lying terrified at night as I watched shadows walk past my window at night, which clearly makes no sense, as there was no light outside.

There were things, such as knocks on the roof a whole bunch of times in a row whenever I was trying to sleep. There were footsteps, and when I was a pre-teen, things of mine just started disappearing and turning up a few weeks later in the strangest places.

I have no idea what really happened there, but I am pretty positive it was the man with the hat, and I am also sure my mother knew about it, even though she told me there were no ghosts, because as soon as we moved into our new house, she made me help her smudge the place. One technique I have learnt from her is to surround myself with white light, to protect myself, and nothing eventful has happened at our new house.

The Unseen Bathroom Ghost 2

Many (I hope) have read my other bathroom ghost story. Well a couple of things have happened since I last posted my story.

Every time I'm in the bathroom I have a really strong feeling that someone is watching me, no matter what I'm doing. When I'm taking a shower I look in the corner and see a dark shadow. I move the curtains and there is nothing there. I felt a little push on my back then the feeling was gone. I was so freaked out that I jumped out of the shower. This thing is not only in the bathroom, I've seen it a couple times run away from me when I'm home alone. I sometimes see the dark figure in the glass reflection of some pictures.

However, it has stopped doing stuff lately. I don't know why and kind of want to know why. Is it that it did what it wanted to do and left or just lost interest? I haven't had any feelings of someone watching me or the lights turning off and on or scratching in the walls.

Can someone maybe tell me what it may be doing?

Thanks for reading

The Unseen Bathroom Ghost

So I'm getting kind of freaked out with this. Let me give some background information first: we just renovated our bathroom and put a new bathtub and everything into the bathroom. Nothing has happened until we renovated the bathroom and some strange things have been happing. I'm getting Kind of scared to take showers at night because of the following:-

First whenever I take a shower (well not every time it happens) the lights seem to dim by themselves and then click off then come back on. At first I thought it was something with the wires when it happened then I opened the shower curtains and the lights clicked off like someone hit them off. (By the way there are 2 lights on in my bathroom because they are both dim and it makes it brighter.)

Second I was in the bathroom and only the lights were on brushing my hair when I heard a long labored breathing but nobody was at home. Also sometimes I can hear scratching that sounds like it's in my room (my room is right next to the bathroom mind you) but nothing is in my room when I go to look. It might just be a mouse or something in the wall, but our house doesn't have any mice.

Honestly it's starting to creep me out and that's all that really happened in the bathroom. All I want to know is what you think this could be; Explainable or non explainable.

Thank you for reading my story even if it was very short!

The Unexpected Visitor

Please note that names have been changed for personal reasons-

My paranormal experience took place last January when my family had first moved into our new five bedroom house. I had hated the house ever since I had first laid eyes on it. It wasn't the particular style or colour scheme of the house, but something was telling me that it was bad. But, unfortunately my parents thought it was great and were surprised to find that it had an amazingly low price tag. (Houses in my area fetch about $900,000 for a 5 bedroom house. Subtract about $400,000 and you're looking at how much it cost) the real estate owner was quick to accept our offer and by January we had moved it.

I had been given the smallest bedroom of the house which faced a particularly boring section of the yard. A huge tree blocked any possible sunlight and, though I hadn't noticed then, nothing ever grew in that part of the garden. One day when my friend Kate* (changed for personal reasons) had came over for a sleepover (which was about a week after moving in) I had prepared a movie marathon with a large variety of food. She arrived at 4:30pm and we fell asleep at around 3:00am. Nothing unusual had happened. At around 4:00am I woke up after having a terrible nightmare that I was being chased by a huge shadowy figure. I got out of bed, tiptoed around Kate, and went downstairs to get a drink. I entered the kitchen poured myself a glass of orange juice and sat at the kitchen counter. My friend then came in and froze. "Sorry did I wake you?" I asked, but she didn't reply. I turned around to see that several of the kitchen cupboards were opening by themselves. My friend fell to the floor in dead faint. I quickly poured the remainder of my orange juice on her face which woke her up. We sat on the floor watching cupboard doors open and close. Then at 5:00am it stopped. Shaken we went back to bed, but we didn't sleep.

The next day both of us were still shaken by the previous night's events and by midday we had dismissed it as a dream that we both had- The hours passed and eventually it became dark again and we settled down to sleep. This time I awoke to see a tall figure walk across my room and disappear out of the window. I woke Kate up and we looked out of the window nothing. We turned around suddenly to see a small figure sit down on top of my bed. I tried to scream but my voice was caught in my throat. Then I heard it speak.

"Comeeeee herrreee..."

"Teresaaaaaaa...come hereeeee... We neeeeddd you..."

"Katttttteeeee...teressssaaa...helllllp ussssss... Helllppp ussss."

The small figure then disappeared and the small collection of brick a brack on my dresser flew off and hit the opposite wall. The table which held my computer and books tipped over and my bed began to shake violently. This time I did scream. My brother was the first to come.

"What is the matt..." he broke off in mid sentence. My advanced algebra mathematics books flew off the ground and flew towards his head. He missed it by millimeters. I felt a sudden pain on my right arm and I looked down to see a number of small bite-like marks appear in front of me and my friend. She screamed and my parents came into the room. Everything then stopped. The bite marks faded and then disappeared. My parents took one look at my room before beginning to yell at me. I just stood there as my friend began to cry. I looked pass my parents and saw the large shadowy figure. It looked as if it was laughing at me.

This sort of activity went on for about a month before it was followed by large banging's that were heard on the walls when I entered the room. My dog also died a week later. I found her body over the dead side of the lawn, the section that my window overlooked. Apparently, she died of a heart attack which was strange since she was 2 years old and perfectly healthy. I also discovered a week later that someone had been leaving me little presents in little piles under my bed. Dead rats, leaves, twigs, egg shells, even a cat at one stage. But, I cannot blame this on my 'visitor' because it may have been my brother playing a horrible prank.

About 3 weeks later, the activity took a more sinister twist. I woke up to find a number of large scratches on my back, large enough to be dog scratches. They were gone by the day's end, but not before Kate got to see them. This continued for the rest of the week, followed by horrible dreams.

Kate had agreed to come over to my house - though it took a lot of persuading- so we could discuss what I could do. The visitor apparently wasn't happy with the idea because as soon as we approached the subject, the light bulb above us burst. So we went into another room, and that too burst. Draws pulled open, rugs shifted positions and hung themselves over ceiling fans, chairs we pulled onto tables and stacked in piles, and dishes were thrown out of cupboards and smashed onto the ground. We both screamed and ran out of the house. My parents were soon to follow. We all ran into the back yard and stood as we watched objects fly around pass the windows and smash onto floors. The dead grass patch (where my dog died) began to smell like a mixture between horse manure and rotting meat.

Objects still, to this day are flying around. I still hear voices, often calling my name, saying stuff like they need help, or want me to come play. I have tried to record these but my recorder always 'fails at the appropriate time.' I believe my visitor has something to do with this. All electrical equipment always fails when I try to record it in any way. What should I do? Should I tell my parents to organize a priest to bless the house? I need help. I don't know how longer my family can survive.

If you believe that you can help, please contact me. Anything is helpful. God bless you all.

The Strange Dark Figure

This is my story and I swear this is completely true. Well when I was 16 my family moved into new house. When we were moving in, whenever I went to the house I got this strange feeling, like I was being watched, but none of my siblings felt it, so I brushed the feeling off. So the first night we stayed in our new house, I had just gotten into bed, I couldn't get to sleep, because it was strange, sleeping in a new house, so I stared out of my door into the doorway for some reason trying to get to sleep I suppose and I could hear this sort of whooshing sound and I saw a dark coloured figure float past my door. At first I thought it was my little brother in his cape trying to scare me, but when I got up to see if it was him, he was in a deep sleep. What I saw wasn't him. I kept seeing this figure every night I stayed in my new house. But it didn't try to hurt me or anything all it did was walk past my room. I tried to follow it once, but when I went outside my door, it was gone! After that night I tried to follow the figure, I never saw it again.

I am writing this out for a second time because I accidently clicked paste instead of copying the text... But here goes. For about the last three years I have had a presence following me that is able to cause sounds like a human would, like scraping and rustling but me and my friends included have all experienced it and we know after never seeing it after this many times and how swiftly and loud it can be it cannot be human. We have never witnessed a thing but we have heard sounds 3 meters away in bushes, in front of us and I have heard and felt it at my window many times.

I am not sure if this thing wants to harm me but personally I have had no experiences where it came close, but it constantly makes me feel nervous in my own home. But here is a story from my ex girlfriend who is just one of the people who experienced it as she believes it could have harmed her.

I was inside my house and she was in my back room (it isn't part of the house you have to walk through the backyard to get inside) anyway she messaged me saying something is in my backyard, I came rushing out to find my back room door open which I left open and her behind a couch with a knife in her hand shaking because she was so scared. She explained she felt and heard it roaming back and forth past the open door but not entering until I came and it was gone. I know this is an experience from someone else's point of view, but I just wanted to share the only experience were someone has felt threatened besides me when it first started happening.

Now there have been many experiences for me, but the strange thing is this thing feels super natural but never seems to enter my back room it always stays on the outside making noises. Every time I exit to walk into my house through the backyard I feel it watching me from either the bushes or around my wood shed area, and many times I have heard it flee when it hears me and I rush to turn on the light and I NEVER see it but it would have nowhere to escape. This thing is big no animal could make these sounds and you can just tell it's a big form by the presence it gives you. When I am getting close to my door and about to re enter I feel as if it is closing in on me, and when I close the door once I'm in I feel it is a reachable distance away just outside my door.

I basically live alone at all times and mostly I hear it when I am by myself but it has come when I have friends over many times. I lived with my ex girlfriend for 7 months at her house, and she said she believes I do have something following me as when I lived with her she felt scared to roam her hallways even during the day and always felt a presence in her house. Once I moved out she said she never felt it and was never scared to walk around her house and even sleeps with the door closed and lights off (she used to be very paranoid when I lived there).

The last piece of information I would like to share is that I have moved rooms to inside my house at one of the front room so the main window faces the front yard. Ever since I have moved in here I have felt it and heard it very loud outside my window, it's like it is either angry or clumsy in the new environment it has to use to access my window now.

As I am typing this now I have been feeling almost angry strong vibes coming around me and constant shivers down my spine. I am worried it is angry at me for moving and I am scared it might follow me overseas when I move in 6 months.

I write this because I hope maybe someone can shed some light on this who has had similar experiences and maybe give me ideas of what it could be. Or even help me to know if it will follow me overseas. Please don't say it's in my imagination as me and all my friends have witnessed it and it is definitely not an animal or a family member...

Thanks very much guys look forward to hearing back.

The Shadow In The Dark

I, as a person, have always believed in ghosts and the supernatural. I have had experiences in my dreams that shock me and wake me up, I have had sleep paralysis, but the sleep paralysis was in another home that I was in, that really turned me into a believer, I have tried to talk to ghosts, read many stories and commented on them entirely. I have had some experiences before this time, but my newest one happened two nights ago.

My room is a small one with the bed in a corner facing the hallway and the door is left open. When everyone is asleep except me it is very quiet except for when it is raining. It was not raining this particular night. I was watching TV, (my house is a decent sized house, the lounge is on the far right and the bedrooms are at the far left of the house) after awhile I felt like going to bed, it was also very cold outside. I watched TV a little while longer, there was really nothing worth watching so I switched it off and went to bed. I lay on my bed facing out to the hallway. Just as I was starting to get comfortable I heard a loud noise coming from the lounge, like a banging noise. I shrugged it off and got comfortable once again. Soon after I had done that I looked out to the hallway and saw what looked like a person, drifting in the shadows. I looked at it and then it had walked away from the door and to the rest of the rooms in my house.

This had not been the first time I have seen this figure in the shadows, but this was the first time I had heard it moving things.

I do not wish the ghost to go, I simply want to want to talk to it.

I would use an Ouija board to contact it, but I cannot seem to find one.

The Series of Events that Made Me Believe

Early last year, some friends and I moved from our home city of Melbourne to a country town named Shepparton. I had to move because I had a place in the university there, and as such, we were pressed for time in finding a house to live in before first term started.

It was very difficult for four young people to find a house; no real estate agent seemed to want to deal with us. Eventually, however, we met a young real estate agent named Jessica who seemed sympathetic to our cause. She took us around Shepparton and showed us a few rental houses, and it was with some reserve that she showed us the last house on the tour. We fell in love with it instantly.

It was just so easy to get landlord approval on this house - too easy, considering the difficulty we had previously had. We also found out that it had been on the rental market for months with no interest. We joked about it being haunted, but never actually thought it was.

After moving in, the first thing I noticed about the house was the uneasy feeling I got when I was home alone. I decided to buy a cat. The second occurrence was, by far, the most spooky and confusing. It happened to my housemate, Adam. One night, when Adam was in bed, he woke up to view a glowing figure standing at the end of his bed, just looking at him. I wouldn't have believed this story had it not been for the picture he showed me on his mobile phone. Sure enough, there was the perfect image of girl, in full colour and looking as though she gave off her own light. The only flaw in the photo was a black square which obscured her face. Very strange. We looked at the time on the phone and everyone could be accounted for. We then tried in every possible way imaginable to get another photo like that in Adam's pitch black room, but to no avail. Even when we used a torch to take the photos we produced nothing more than a blur, definitely no definition. But regardless of this, I still wasn't entirely convinced.

Our other housemate, Domi, was home alone one night as we were all in Melbourne, but she had to work the next day. She was lying in bed just listening to her music and trying to sleep when she heard the enormous sound of the toilet door being slammed. This freaked her right out because she had just been to the toilet and ALWAYS closes the door. She lay in bed, terrified with her eyes closed, resigning herself to the fact that she would get no sleep that night (because she was so scared) when from behind her eyelids she saw a massive light which she described to me as "a flash of lightning", in her bedroom and, although she was terrified a moment ago, was filled with a huge sense of calm and fell asleep immediately, for the night.

A couple of weeks after this, Domi and I were watching the video diary of My Chemical Romance, and Henry, the cat, was sitting on my lap. Tony, my boyfriend, had gone to the shops and Adam was at his girlfriend's house for the night. We had the TV turned up very loud, but not loud enough to muffle the sound of the cat food box being shaken in the kitchen. As soon as we heard this, we paused the DVD, looked at each other, looked at the cat, who could also hear it and was trying to go to the noise, and got the hell out of the house. We could still hear the noise as we were running out the front door. As soon as we got to the footpath, Tony's car turned into the far end of the street. This is when I truly started to believe.

Aside from these freaky happenings, there have been countless others. I have seen the ghost of the father (we figure that it is a father and a daughter, the father being malevolent but the daughter harmless), Tony has seen the father and the daughter, and countless noises have been heard. We also did a séance, in which my initials were indicated by the spirit, however, it didn't frighten me; I felt a lot better after this, as though I had been acknowledged.

I now have a much more open mind and thoroughly believe in ghosts and spirits and whatever else lives out there in the spirit world.

The Rocking Chair

This Happened about a year ago when my Mum and I were at a historical site called Port Arthur in Tasmania.

We were walking into the community residence when my Mum felt that something was watching her. She turned to see who or what it was but there was nobody in the room except my Mum and me (and I swore I wasn't watching her.) She was also really cold. Even if she was standing next to the fire it was still really cold!

I told Mum that I wanted to walk around by my self and she agreed. I started to walk down the hallway (the hallway was really long) and looking at the rooms. One room in particular stands out to me so when I finished walking down to the end of the hallway I walked back up to see the room.

The room had a piano and a rocking chair in it and all these pictures around the room of people standing around the chair and a figure in the chair. Then, right before my eyes the chair started to rock! I thought it was a prank but when I saw there was no string and no breeze I was terrified! I ran out of the room and stayed behind mum for the rest of the time I was in there.

I would not stop following her until she left the building so when we finally got out of the residence my Mum told me that she was getting warm again.

It was a chilling experience but not my worst!

The Quarantine Station Tour

Last night, I went on a quarantine station tour. It opened in 1830. Our tour guide said it's unlikely that we would have an experience with a ghost there, but I DID! I had a few.

We were heading to the quarantine stations hospital to go have a look inside. As we were looking inside, I felt a large, painful prick in my leg. It almost stopped me from walking. I asked the guide what it was and he said that it was a needle.

My next experience was when we were down where the ships used to dock. I was listening to the tour guide when something tapped me. I turned around... No one was there. The tapping started straight away after I turned around. It was pretty fast tapping. Like some one wanted me. That freaked me out!

My third one was when our guide was talking about a ghost Chinese man seen on rare occasions. No one saw him that night, but I did... That was a secret I didn't tell anyone that night. He had a coolie on top and he was wearing one of those Chinese gowns. He had a black pony tail hanging over his shoulder. I almost cried when he pointed to me and then disappeared. I didn't want to tell anyone because I was worried he would haunt me.

My last experience was when we were in the old shower room. I heard a shower turn on. I was wondering why no one else was alarmed. And I knew it wasn't my head, because after I heard the shower turn on, the tour guide said that once the showers turned on when they were not connected.

That made me TOTALLY believe in ghosts. Now, I hope that my house isn't haunted!

The Pale Face In The Darkness

I always had this weird feeling in my room and I always thought it was just because I was young and afraid of my own shadow. But it never stopped me from locking myself in there and playing music full blast. I always ignored it, until four months and three days after my thirteenth Birthday when I got my computer.

I walked into my room and as soon as I stepped in, I had this sudden wave of depression and sadness come over me. I didn't know what to make of it, so I ignored it and played some music quietly and began putting my birthday cards away so they didn't get damaged. I noticed once I had finished that the music was quieter than I had originally set it to. I turned it up to 76% and turned around to see that all the Birthday cards were back in the exact same spot. I was confused and as I put them all back away and left my room, I wondered if I had actually put the cards away. But no matter what I tried to convince myself, it didn't make sense. This was what started me believing in Poltergeist's. Nothing else happened for the rest of that day.

The next day after school I walked into my room and saw that my music was on again and my clock was set three hours behind. I knew that it was right that morning. I freaked and walked out of my room. About an hour later I went back into my room to do my homework and saw my computer and Clock were the same as when I left earlier. I turned off the computer and re-set the clock and sat on my bed to finish my homework. Once I finished the strange feeling washed over me again, so I thought to play more music. This seemed to calm the feeling. Then all of a sudden a feeling of pure hate washed over me and I stormed out of my room and slammed the door closed. As soon as it was closed the feeling went away.

That night I woke up at 9:57pm and I saw the pale face of a woman staring down at me in the darkness. Instinctively I thought it was my mom. "Mom?" I said. The face smiled at me then disappeared. I got up and turned on the light and saw that my cards were stacked next to my bed on the table and tied together with a ribbon. I turned on my laptop and saw that Microsoft Word was open. There was a message typed on it in the font Lucida Handwriting was a message. "Thank you. Play this." And there was the name of one of my favorite songs. It was "The Graduation Song" By Vitamin C.

To this day it still confuses me who the woman was. But now every time I play "The Graduation Song" I feel comforted and I know that I'm not alone. I believe now the woman is at peace.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

The Old Man's House

Read the article and leave a comment.

First off, I'm from Adelaide Australia, I'm a 19 year old girl and I can be a little skeptic about ghost stories and such because they can be blown out of proportion all too easily. But this is my story and I hope you can help answer some of my questions.

When I was three years old we moved into a new house, it was built in 1911 and only one family ever lived in it. The man, who lived in the house before us, was the son of the man who built the house. He died in the house when he was 82 and that was six months before me moved in. It's an old, one story brick house with a small wine cellar. My current bedroom was his old bedroom and when we moved into the house, there were bars and chicken wire covering the windows (he was agoraphobic), all of the other windows had heavy, metal bars on them but didn't also have the chicken wire. He didn't die in my/his bedroom; he had a heart attack in an outside toilet that's not longer there.

I started having nightmares as soon as I was moved into my room, but whether this is because I was young, if the change disrupted me or if the room had an eerie feeling I don't know, probably all put together. I used to wake up in the early hours of the morning (I was talking to my mother and she said I had a knack for waking up every night at three am, and yes, I've heard what people say about three am but I'm not 100% sure I buy into it.), screaming, crying and extremely cold even if it was a warm night and I had blankets on. This carried on until I was 6 until my parents gave up on thinking that I would grow out of it and I slept in my parent's bed until I was 10. Just after my 10th birthday I wanted to try sleeping in my room again, but by now I was able to recognize that it had a strange, cold feeling to it. Even my father, who is the biggest skeptic I know, agreed.

I continued to have nightmares but now I could remember them, it felt like I was in a room with everybody and everything I loved but every time I tried to touch anything I would feel this soaring pain through my chest and I'd screech and cry in my dreams. After I woke up I would calm myself down and go back to sleep, wanting to be a big girl. After about a month the nightmares stopped, or I just slept through them.

When I reached the age of 12 I started seeing three apparitions that would all come at the same time. One was of a man hunched over and he would be close to my bed just looking at me with this blank, dark eyes. The other was of a tall man, in a priest's outfit who was slowly coming toward me. The last one was just a face, floating in mid air with a scratch on his eye and a bruised lip. The thing is, it was all the same man and they all had the same face, I'm certain of it. And it was the same every time.

After about a year, when I'd finally convinced myself that I wasn't making it up I tried talking to the hunched man near my bed. But as soon as I uttered my first syllable (even at the time, I'm wasn't sure what I was going to say) he let out a screech, the same as I heard in my dreams. The next morning my mother asked me if I'd had a nightmare because she'd heard me screeching.

I've never really told anybody because I was nervous people would simply think I was making things up because I was a child. I don't see the three ghosts as often anymore but lately I've been having my old nightmare again and I was looking for a couple of suggestions as to why they might have started again? And what are your opinions on seeing the same man as three different apparitions? Anything you can tell me would be a great help! And sorry this is long, thank you!

The Old Man that Stands Near my Bed

Before I tell you my story I would like you not to judge me of my age, as I am only 14. Well, about 2 years ago I moved into a new house not far away from my old house actually. I didn't really like it because the windows are almost standing height. I had never liked my room and still I stay in that room every night.

Yet one night because I am a very light sleeper and I always wake up during the night, I woke up and I was looking around my room and then at the end of my bed I saw this old man, he looked sort of rich I guess, you could say, he was in a tuxedo and looked very fancy, like he was going out.

I got severely terrified, I couldn't move, I couldn't make a sound I just lied there looking terrified after about a minute it just disappeared, I layed there for 3 hours not being able to move not knowing what had happened.

The next day I went up to my friend and I told my friend what had happened, she was the type who be lived in the paranormal and I never believed in that stuff until that day. Ever since then me and my friend have had sleepovers at my place and took many pictures in my room and found many, many disturbing things that still give me nightmares I still have the pictures on my mobile.

But ever since the night I saw that man strange things happen in my house I'm really scared of my house at night, I hear strange things, but my dad doesn't believe in that stuff so he won't let us move.

The Offer

WARNING: This story may contain religious bias. My view of the events have been influenced by my religion. Please don't read it if you think you may be offended.

My name is Luke. I am a Christian. The reason I state that first is because I believe this event that happened in my life is because of my faith. If you do not agree with me in that respect, that is fine. And with that, the story begins.

At the age of 20, I received Jesus Christ as my Savior. The denomination I belong to and believe the teachings of is the Independent Baptist movement. Being a Baptist, I believe in angels and devils (although most people would call them demons. I use the word devils because the King James Bible does). I believe in guardian angels and I also believe that devils are drawn to various symbols of the occult.

Shortly after I was saved (Christian term for receiving Jesus as Savior), I began to research the occult. I did this in order to find out more about it so that I could possibly reach people who were caught up with it, as I believe it is a dangerous practice. The following events are factual as far as I remember them and have told them to many people since they occurred.

In 2001, shortly after my salvation, I began to read through various non canon books, mainly in search of information regarding some of the pagan beliefs of Roman Catholicism. The Shepherd of Hermes, the Book of Enoch, Maccabees etc. I didn't really find much of what I was looking for (which I ended up finding later in the Council of Trent, but that story has no ramifications here). I did however, find many things to do with devils and angels, and the judgment of the former. This lead to me researching various people such as Aleister Crowley.

Many people would know Crowley as being one of the main movers and shakers in the New Age movement, along with Westcott, Hort and Blavatsky. To this day, I wish I had never researched these people, in particular, Blavatsky and Crowley. It seems that even mentioning their names draws the interest of other worldly phenomena. I hope that I may manage to type these words out without being consumed with the fear that has previously taken me at times.

During my times of research, I would pray for protection, which thankfully, God provided. However, their are occasions in the Bible where God allows devils to torment His people. Consider Paul the apostle, who was buffeted (or beaten) by a messenger of Satan, allowed by God, in order to keep Paul humble and reliant on God. A Christian cannot be possessed or killed by a devil, but he or she can definitely be tormented and harassed.

The nights are generally warm in Australia. Even in winter, I can usually get away with sleeping only under a sheet or single thin blanket. I had just taken myself to bed after reading more about the occult. I noticed the coldness immediately. Icy. The uneasiness that surrounded me prevented me from taking a foot outside my room into the dark hallway leading to the linen cupboard. I could have easily walked to get more blankets, but I was kept in that bed by fear that night. I sleep with my door open, yet keep all the lights off (I am not afraid of the dark), to allow the air to circulate through my room, otherwise I wake with my nose and throat being very dry. Tonight was no different. As I drifted off into a light sleep, I remembered that I had not talked with God in some time. The uneasiness enveloped me as I attempted to keep myself warm under the single sheet.

I awoke. The light in the living room was on. I heard the sound of a mug being put down onto the breakfast bar. I hear this noise often at night and usually put it down to my mother finishing her hot chocolate before bedtime. I glanced at my watch with the glow in the dark hands. Quarter past one in the morning. Too late for my mother to be awake still. I knew the lights were out when I went to sleep. I can't sleep if they are on. I heard the cup being put down on the bench again. The lights in the living room went out. A chill went down my neck, and once again, I realized the iciness of room I was in. This is where things got scary. And by scary, I mean absolutely terrifying.

The house was silent, which is unusual, since you can usually hear the fridge running, or crickets outside, or SOMETHING, but there was nothing but silence. Despite the silence, I knew that I was about to come face to face with something I had no desire to meet. I waited. The darkness was darker than it had ever been before. I knew that something was moving towards me in the black ocean surrounding me. My heart was racing. It was right in front of me. I couldn't see it, but I could sense that it was there.

A whisper.

"Luke"

Eyes. Open. Teeth. Lips. A Dress. No arms. No legs. Long black hair. Pale, white skin. Beautiful. Terrifying. Girl.

I know what you are thinking. Girl with long black hair and white skin. I must have seen the ring and I am having a nightmare right? Wrong. This was 2001. The ring hadn't come out yet and I had never even seen the asian version of it. This was the real deal.

She stood there, floating in front of me. I knew she would not harm me, but I also knew she was malevolent. The dress was similar to a christening dress that children wear when they are baptized (although, being a baptist, I don't believe that infant baptism is a biblical practice).

More whispering. Hoarse throat, deep, definitely not female. Very guttural.

"Luke"

"Power"

"You can have it"

"I will prove to you that I am powerful"

"You can have real power, RIGHT NOW"

"Wake up".

I awoke. Far out! The entire thing was a dream. A few seconds pass with me gasping for air, relieved that I had been dreaming the entire time. Then I noticed. The light in the kitchen was on. A whisper again.

"watch"

I waited a second, closed my eyes, and braced for what I could sense was coming. Nothing happened.

I opened my eyes again, and stood up, intending to turn the light off in the kitchen. As soon as I stood up, the light went out. My alarm went off. The timer on the oven in the kitchen went off. The smoke alarms sounded. I frantically smashed at my wall, trying to find the light switch. I hit it but the lights did not turn on. I ran out into the kitchen, which was illuminated in a dull green due to the flashing timer light from the oven, and located the kitchen light. No luck there either. I opened the fridge, hoping to use the light in there, but the light in the fridge was not working. None of the light switches were working.

I ran upstairs, fully intending to wake my parents and tell them that our house is possessed by a devil, but as I got to the top of the stairs, I got a grip of myself. They were awake however, due to all the alarms in the house sounding, and told me that it was a power shortage, and it would be over soon. I walked back down, and went to the front door. We always keep my keys in the door on the inside in the case of a fire, so I knew where they were that night. I opened the door and went outside, and around the side to the main switchboard. Dad is an electrician and has showed me how this works before. I figured, okay, maybe a shortage did happen, or something tripped the lights, and it's all a coincidence.

As I open the switchboard cover, I make a horrifying discovery. ALL of the power is off in the house. The way our house is setup means that if the electrical outlets cause a trip, the lights will still work, or if a light fuse blows, the power outlets still work. In this case, all of the safety switches were in the off position, meaning that NO power at all was going to the house. The kitchen alarm was ringing without any electricity going to it. And it has no battery backup. The smoke alarms do run on batteries, but that doesn't explain why they sounded the same time as the kitchen timer did, without any smoke around.

I proceeded to switch the safety switches back to on. As I switched the last one over, I could hear that the alarms had stopped.

I went back inside, convinced that a devil had just attempted to offer me immediate power, that was physical, tangible, instead of the power that Jesus Christ offers, which is victory over sin and death. I prayed a lot that night for protection.

The Little Old Woman And The White Cat

Read the article and leave a comment.

It was the summer of 1987; I was 19 years of age. Fresh faced from a hippie commune and found myself a job in the main town. I was lucky because I struck gold with a lovely house that was built in the 1920's and on a leafy street, very middle class. I moved in with a woman and her four screaming kids and felt right at home until one night two months later everything changed!

I came back from a party in a pretty drunken state (I remember singing) and stumbled around the back of the house so I wouldn't wake everyone up. It was two in the morning I remember and there she was, a little old woman looking really cheesed off. I thought she escaped from the nursing home, which was just down the road from us so I took no notice of her and stumbled inside.

It wasn't until two weeks later I was invited to dinner party and it was 2am again. This time I was sober and was thinking about the beautiful girl I was chatting up and there she was again (the old woman, not the girl, pity though), standing looking angry at me. She had long flowing gray hair, yet it wasn't windy, and a long whitish gown and no feet. Then she just...vanished. I don't remember much after that.

A month later a good mate of mine rocked up with a six pack of beer, a video and a pavalova (yuk). Anyway, as I was setting up the video, and he was getting the beer ready, all the lights started to flicker, the windows went up and down, doors started to slam then the video spat out, missing my head. My mate was out the door screaming blue murder. I found out later that an old woman died IN my bedroom. She was doomed (or should I say I was doomed) to haunt that house for some odd reason. Never found out what the reason was.

Just briefly. That house was really weird. I used to see a white cat running around. My housemate had a poddle and that poodle hated me and vise versa. Anyway, one day I saw the poodle running back followed by a white "ball" then the white "ball" would run by followed the poofy poodle. This went on for ages. But I would look around to see if a cat got inside the house but there would be nothing there. I figured out that what I saw was a ghost cat.
